privately (KHUF-YATAN); indeed, He does not like

transgressors.

And cause not corruption upon the earth after its

reformation. And invoke Him (WAD-’UU-HUM) in fear

(KHAU-FAN) and aspiration (TWA-MA-’AN). Indeed, the

mercy of Allah is near (QO-REEBUN) to the doers of good

(AL-MUH-SI-NEEN).”

(Qur’an: A’raf: 7: 55-56)

Thus we are to strive for this state of “righteousness” so as to

deserve the nearness of Allah SWT and His Mercy.

not supplicate for sin or for severing the ties of blood, or

he does not become impatient.”

It was said: O Allah's Messenger, what does:" If he does

not grow impatient" imply?

He said: “That he should say like this: ‘I supplicated and

I supplicated but I did not find it being responded’, and

then he becomes frustrated and abandons supplication.”

good. And verily Allah has commanded the believers to do

that which He has commanded the Messengers. So the

Almighty has said: “O (you) Messengers! Eat of the

righteous deeds.” [23:51] and the Almighty has said: “O

you who believe! Eat of the lawful things that We have

is HARAM, his clothing is HARAM, and he has been nourished with

HARAM, so how can [his supplication] be answered? .”
