Skim – Lighting design for any architecture The low-cost recessed luminaire for office and general lighting Clear, simple and compact: Skim recessed luminaires combine unique aesthetics with superior quality of light, and that at an outstanding price to perform- ance ratio. Designed to excel in effective illumination of offices, corridors, foyers and traffic zones in administration buildings, the versatile range masters applica- tions in retail projects or hotels just as comfortably. Covering a diversity of sizes, lumen categories and distribution options, Skim is a compact point light that offers an aesthetic alternative to linear fluorescent luminaires. The spe- cially developed lens system made of optical polymer provides effi- cient and homogeneous light with superior glare control, as the magic of the lens will have the observer fascinated. Depending on the light distribution, Skim ensures pleas- ant general lighting with wide luminaire spacing at an affordable price or else, ergonomic light with optimum glare control that com- plies with the lighting standards required for office workplaces. Suitable for office workstationsERCO develops luminaires with thespecifications of good glare controland high visual comfort. UGR val-ues are used as support for purelynorm-referenced lighting. Withdownlights though this should notbe carried out using ’blanket’ val-ues, but should be implementedaccording to the individual arrange-ment of luminaires in the room.
Shallow recess depthIn compact installation situations,every millimetre is decisive with therecess depth of a luminaire. ERCOhas thus developed special lumin-aires for shallow recess depths thatguarantee very good quality oflight even in very tight installationconditions.
