Capital Available with multiple acorn globe option styles, the Capital offers an “Old World” style with an emphasis on performance and ease of maintenance. Built with a hinged door, twist-lock photo cell and, on some models, a hinged hood, the Capital is uniquely engineered for easy lamp and ballast replacement. Suitable for pole, cross arm, or wall mounting conditions, the Capital is a perfect choice for street and other municipality lighting, historical sites, government buildings, schools and universities, parking lots, site and walkway lighting, lighting for “Old Town” sections of cities, and so much more. Constructed of high grade cast aluminum with a durable powder coat finished housing and a UV resistant polycarbonate or polyethylene or acrylic globe, the Capital is built for the toughest of outdoor conditions. The Capital can also meet the performance standards of today’s lighting demands utilizing an array of refractors and reflectors for several light distributions. Available with a maximum 250 watt Metal Halide or High Pressure Sodium, the Capital can also accommodate today’s Low-Energy requirements with up to a 95 watt LED or 250 watt Induction source while still maintaining excellent light output. The Capital offers a classic traditional look, meets today’s high performance standards for lighting, and offers a perfect solution to easy maintenance with 100% tool-less entry. SpecificationsFixture Housing: Two-piece sand-cast. Housing shall be corrosion resistant cast aluminum alloy #A356. The housing shall be free of any foreign materials or cosmetic fillers. Standard fitters shall slip over 3” diameter tenon. For other mounting options, consult factory for installation. Optics: Units shall be hydroformed or segmented sharp cut-off optics. Specular Alzak® optical segments are rigidly mounted within globe. For vertical lamping fixture shall utilize either a prismatic borosillicate glass refractor or prismatic acorn globe.
Electrical Module: All electrical components are UL and CSA recognized, mounted on a single plate, and factory pre-wired. A quick-disconnect plug for the ballast module is available when specified. Reference pages 2 and 3 for lamp characteristics, ballast types, and voltage technical data.
Lens: Shall be either acrylic or impact resistant polycarbonate. Only polycarbonate and polyethylene globes is available in opal.
Finish/Color: Finish is super TGIC thermoset polyester powder coat. ELA offers RAL color matches along with our standard color selection. Custom and hand applied colors are available upon special request.
Certification: Fixtures shall be listed for outdoor, wet location. UL1598. IP rating 65.
CAUTION: Fixtures must be grounded in accordance with national, state, and/or local codes. Failure to do so may result in serious personal injury.
