Airline / Terminal Guide FAQs

BART

Baggage

How do I transfer from an international flight

to a domestic flight?

All arriving international passengers must clear United

States Customs and Immigration at the International

Terminal Arrivals Hall.

Passengers connecting to onward flights should exit the

Arrivals Hall through the doors marked “Connecting Flights.”

A Connecting Baggage Desk, located directly outside of

the exit, is available to recheck baggage tagged to its final

destination. Passengers not checked through to their final

destination should visit their airline’s ticket counter.

Passengers completing their journey at SFO should exit the

Arrivals Hall through the doors marked “San Francisco” for

the International Arrivals Meeting Area and ground

transportation options.

How do I get to other terminals and parking garages?

AirTrain, SFO’s fully automated people mover system,

operates 24 hours every day and provides convenient and

frequent service throughout SFO. AirTrain stations are

located in all terminals parking garages, the Rental Car

Center and SFO’s BART train station.

Domestic Terminals 1, 2 and 3 each have an AirTrain station

located on Level 5 of the Central Parking Garage.

down to the tunnel connector to the parking garage. Follow

the AirTrain signs.
