We will be having a Fish Dinner today, Sunday, September 27th from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm. This will be Take-out only with no phone orders being taken. Orders will be picked up in our Parish Hall. The meal will consist of a fish sandwich, three pierogies and a choice of coleslaw or applesauce. Condiments will be available. There will be no subs tu ons. We will serve as long as supply lasts. The cost of the meal will be $11.00. Method of payment will be cash or check. No credit cards will be accepted. Our St. Benedict Knights of Columbus will also be selling their delicious GOBS. We will also be having a 50/50 drawing.

Our Parish Council will meet tomorrow, Monday, September 28th at 6:30 pm in our Parish Hall.

Friday of this week is the First Friday of the month. Masses are at 8:00 am and 12:05 pm. Confessions will be heard following the Masses on Tuesday and Thursday and at 3:00 pm Thursday a ernoon.

Our St. Men’s Group will hold its monthly mee ng this Saturday, October 3rd at 8:00 am at Highland Park off Walters Avenue behind the armory. From Nees Avenue, go straight onto Play-ground Drive and back into Highland Park.

Just a reminder that there are three Masses offered each weekend. There is a Mass on Satur-day Evening at 5:00 pm. Masses on Sunday are at 8:30 am and 10:30 am. Please note the change in Sunday Mass Times! We have also returned to our week day Exposi on of the Blessed Sacrament from 7:00 am - 8:00 am each morning with the ex-cep on of Thursday (8:00- 8:45 am) due to the school mass at 9:00. Masses are at 8:00 am and 12:05 pm. Confessions are Tuesday and Thursday following the 8:00 am and 12:05 pm Masses and Saturdays at 3:00 pm. All Confessions are heard in the Church.

Bible Study Update If you would be interested in joining our Bible Study group online, please contact Deacon Michael. When Bible Study resumes it will be on Saturday mornings from 9:30-11:30 am. Deacon Michael will use the “Zoom” program. This is very easy to use and he will provide instruc ons. This weekend, September 26th - 27th is our collec on for Priests’ Re rement Medical and Re rement Collec on. In your offertory box you will find an envelope for this collec on. If you are not prepared today, please drop your envelope off in one of our drop boxes or at the Parish Office. Please consider a generous gi as an expression of gra tude to our senior priests who are no longer supported by a parish yet who con nue to serve us in many pastoral ministries.

Our “Blessing of the Animals” will be held next Saturday, October 3rd at 10:00 am in front of our Church under the canopy. Parishioners are welcome to a end the blessing, a custom conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures. Please remember that all dogs must be on a leash, cats in carriers and all other animals confined to a cage or carrier. Hope to see you and your “best friend” there. Our Annual Helping Hands Coat Drive weekend is October 10th - 11th. Our Helping Hands Organiza on will be collec ng coats which will be given to Catholic Chari es for distribu on before the cold weather begins. Please be sure all dona ons are clean and gently worn. We will also be collec ng new hats, scarves and gloves / mi ens. Thank you for par cipa ng in this worthwhile cause.

Next weekend is our monthly Knights of Columbus Food Drive. On the first full weekend of each month we are asking each family in our Parish to donate at least one item of non - perisha-ble food such as canned meats (tuna & chicken), soups, macaroni & cheese, rice, pasta, peanut bu er, laundry detergent or cleaning supply, personal care item, shampoo or paper product. The following items are low in our pantry: soups, broth, facial ssue, paper towels, toilet paper and laundry detergent. If you don’t want to carry them to Mass, you can drop them off at the Parish Office. Thank you for your generosity.

Have you moved or do you have a new phone number? Please let our Parish Office know so we can update our records. We are preparing for our 2021 envelopes, so all changes would be greatly appreciated as soon as possible. Thanking you in advance for your coopera on!

A Blue Mass honoring first responders for their service will be celebrated today, Sunday, September 27th at 11:00 am at Saint John Gualbert Cathedral in Johnstown. The liturgy is open to all police, law enforcement, public safety, firefighters, and EMTs and their families. Nurses, respiratory therapists, and those health care workers who have worked so diligently during the coronavirus pandemic are also encouraged to a end. Masks and social distancing will be required. The Mass will also be broadcast live on WATM ABC 23 and rebroadcast that night at 9:00 pm on Atlan c Broadband
