Transcript of Sept 2011 Newsletter[1]
Colorado County JailPastor Larry, I had to let you know how much I liked and enjoyed your message Monday. I felt the presence of Christ Jesus and I thank Him also for putting me in a position so that our paths have crossed. I'm fighting a drug and alcohol addiction. I have been in and out of jail and rehab for many years. It's been a fight and I won't give up until I get right with the Lord. Please pray for me and my family so that I may succeed and be able to help others. I thank God for you and again for the blessed work you are doing, I always admire people who help others when they are down and need encouragement. One day, if it's God's will, maybe I can be of some help to others in need, like you are. God bless you, ButchHarris County JailI praise the Lord for you, Chaplain Cooke. I hope everything went well on your trip to Dallas this last week. I've been praying for you and that your ministry will continue to prosper and edify the Kingdom of Heaven more and more. Keep doing what you do, we need you here at the Harris County Jail. I've been delivered and I proclaim deliverance over the strongholds that once had me in lockup! I’m also standing against all the generational curses that were handed down to me and my children and my children's children. As bad as things may seem, I stand in a totally better position than I have been in 17 years. Praise God! I know the God and Father of my Lord Jesus Christ will work everything out for me. Thanks for listening and I look forward to seeing you in church this week. PS…..thanks for the daily devotional you sent to my family and friends. God Bless You a Bunch, Stan

There are several things that come to mind as I read these letters and I think about those that have been touched through the Ministry: 1) I am humbled that God would choose me to be a part of something so wonderful. 2) I am in awe at how those who have so little to give are reaching out and trying to be a blessing to others and so many of us who have so much, do so little. 3) I am reminded how very blessed we are to have so many faithful people supporting what we get to do. You are the foundation of this Ministry; give yourselves a round of applause! We love YOU!
There was a word given at our World Ministry Fellowship Conference in Dallas last month.....that just like a tsunami that covers the land starts
underground and creates a great wave that eventually covers the earth, millions of people from all denominations around the world have been praying that God would visit us in a mighty way - this
underg round m o v e i s beginning to send out waves that are about to reach the shores. I p r a y t h a t together we can change a nation as we sweep t h ro u g h o u r streets and cities
with the power of the Holy Spirit, in the Name of Jesus. Please don't give up, don't slow down, don't be moved by what you see, this is our time to stand together - one body of faithful soldiers, not ashamed of the Name of Jesus, or to have our voice heard throughout the world. Be of good comfort your, redemption is near!

Letters fromthe Inmates
Sally's House Women’s Recovery Center has recently added a new wing to their facility. It will house women, on a temporary basis, who live on the streets (bag lady types) to give them a safe place to stay overnight, a bath, a bed, and a meal. One of these ladies has joined the six-‐month program after seeing the potential for her to make a real change. We've had the opportunity to minister to this lady for four weeks now and the changes that have taken place in her -‐ a t t i tude , looks , and especially in her spirit -‐ are amazing! In a conversation with her recently, she told us she felt like God was calling her to get her life together, so she could show other ladies on the street that you CAN CHANGE and what God did for her, He can do for them also.
At Harris County Jail a few weeks ago as the service began one of the men told us about another man, named Albert, he had brought to church that day. Albert had planned to commit suicide the night before. This man had intervened and talked Albert into coming to church that day. Albert spoke no English. Over the last few weeks,
we have been blessed to h a v e a n i nm a t e t o interpret during our services and Albert sat next to him on this day. At the end of the service Albert asked for us to pray for him to receive Christ -‐ his fellow inmates were over-‐joyed with Albert’s salvation. Albert
went from suicide to salvation in one day! Praise the Lord!
We have embarked on a new project to reach the families of those incarcerated by getting names from the inmates of their family members (wives, children, parents, siblings) so we can send them a daily devotional with a special newsletter designed for the families of inmates to encourage them to stand strong in the Lord. We have received over 50 names and addresses of family members and we’ve only asked at 2 services. We know this is a God Thing. Please pray for God to provide a Media Person to help us with our newsletters, our website, facebook, etc.
