HP Launches HP Helion Portfolio of Cloud Products and Services

HP to invest more than $1 billion to support and deliver new

open source cloud products and platformsPALO ALTO, Calif. — HP today introduced HP Helion, a portfolio of cloud products and

services that enable organizations to build, manage and consume workloads in hybrid IT

environments.

HP Helion incorporates existing HP cloud offerings,

new OpenStack® technology–based products,

and professional and support services under a unified portfolio to help meet customers’ specific business requirements.

HP also is extending its commitment to OpenStack technology and hybrid IT delivery—

spanning traditional IT, public, private and managed clouds. HP plans to invest more

than $1 billion over the next two years on cloud-related product and engineering

initiatives, professional services and expanding HP Helion’s global reach.

OpenStack Neutron – Routing Issues today Problem description

===============

Today Neutron L3 Routers are deployed in specific Nodes (Network Nodes) where

all the Compute traffic will flow through.

Problem 1: (Intra VM traffic flows through the Network Node)

In this case even VMs traffic that belong to the same tenant on a different

subnet has to hit the Network Node to get routed between the subnets.

This would affect the Performance.
