• Satya Bharti School Program• Flagship program of Bharti Foundation.• It aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children, with special focus on the girl child across rural India.• Goal to establish 500 Primary and 50 Senior Schools reaching out to over 200,000 students

• Present Operational Status• Number of Schools Operational:250• States of Operation: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu & West Bengal • Number of Students Enrolled: Over 36,000

• Major source of earning – Agriculture, animal husbandry, labour work

We ‘Felt’:• Around 40 % adults are illiterate • Most of the time they waste their time by playing cards• They use thumb but this embraces us

We ‘Imagined’• Parent will learn to write their name• They will not use thumb for their signature• Planning was done with interaction of parents

We ‘Did’• Parents were trained by student to write their name

• Parents also practiced their name and they learnt

• We are happy to teach our parent about writing their name

• A competition of adult parents will be organized
