Initially set up as a vegetable oil manufacturer in 1945 in Amalner, Maharashtra,

producing sunflower Vanaspati Oil and soaps.

Earlier the company was called Western India Vegetable Products Limited (laterabbreviated down to Wipro).

Company logo still contains a sunflower to reflect their original business.

1970s and 1980s it shifted its focus and begin to look into business opportunitiesin IT and computing industry which was at nascent stages in India at that time.

Wipro was the first company which marketed the first indigenous homemadePC from India in 1975.

In 1966 Azim Premji, still the majority shareholder as the chairman of thecompany at the age of 21 and with the passage of time transformed it into one ofthe largest IT outsourcing services provider of the world.

SAP Support Management System is basically for SAP Users of WIPROLTD.

The main purpose of this system is to make easier for the SAP Users toregister their complaints.

User can login into this application on the basis of User Id and Password.

SAP was developed by SAP AG, a German Company.

SAP R/3 or SAP ERP are two versions of the enterprise resource planningsoftware product of SAP AG.

SAP was founded in 1972 as Systemanalyse und Programmentwicklung.

There are over 100,800 installations at more than 28,000 companies. SAPproducts are used by 12 million people in more than 120 countries.

SAP ERP is desinged to cater all the needs of an organization from variousdepartments without any need to use additional software application.

For this, SAP maintains a central database for all the departments of anenterprise.

processed, which may take time or till the next day, but inSAP ERP environment as all the departments andinterconnected and events are updated realtime, the top levelmanagers can have access to all the reports in realtime timethus saving time and helping in faster decision making.
