Social activities

Outdoor, indoor, teambuilding, cultural, learning or simply fun experiences, Montreux Riviera offers a wide

range of various activities and attractions. A tailor-made programme can be organised to suit specific requirements.

Teambuilding activities’ aim is to develop the group’scohesion through challenges and team games; to pro-vide the opportunity to get to know each other in spe-cial and fun circumstances. Whether they last twodays or two hours, Montreux-Vevey Tourisme’s staffcan prepare exciting and fun activities such as winetasting contests, raft building, descending a river, chocolate treasure hunt, or the following activities:

Snow fun games can be organised in winter or summer

on the Glacier 3000, only 60 minutes from Montreux

Riviera by coach and cable car. In a mini-stadium created

especially for you, teams will confront each other in a

variety of disciplines. Some of the more hilarious games

include sliding on inner tubes, old-time skiing on barrel

slats, snow scoot races, and even snow golf.

The Farmer’s Olympics is another collection of off-

beat activities and a lot of fun for everyone! Participants

test their abilities in a variety of “Swiss farmer” skills

which could include playing the Swiss alphorn, shooting

with bow and arrow, playing traditional Swiss bowling,

and even milking a cow!

Riviera FunRally Competitors form groups to go treasure

hunting on the Swiss Riviera. All members of the group

receive a Polaroid camera, a booklet with questions and chal-

lenges about the region. Then the race is on as to who can

take the most fun pictures and answer many questions !

Regatta on the Lake Sail away on Lake Geneva! The

water is an ideal setting for a teambuilding programme,

such as an exciting regatta in which the participants,

helped by professional skippers, sail yachts across Lake

Geneva. Each boat holds between five and 14 people and

the regatta can be organised for up to 80 people.

Mountain Experience The Rochers-de-Naye not

only offer a spectacular panoramic view on Lake

Geneva, it is also a beautiful setting for a fun and excit-

ing teambuilding excursion. Seven yurts (heated

nomad’s tents) on the mountain provide the opportuni-

ty for groups to spend an unforgettable night at 2 000

m. Different mountain sports such as rappelling down

with a professional guide or gorge crossing are possible

during the day. And in order to end the excursion on a

high note, a dinner is served in the main yurt.

SportIn any season, Montreux Riviera provides you with a large and varied choice of sports and

activities. In winter, you can reach the snow-covered tops in only 35 minutes by car and enjoy all kinds

of winter sports. But the area’s countryside, where mountains meet the lake, offers also great landscapes

for hiking, mountain biking, or horse riding. When the weather gets warmer, Lake Geneva becomes a

paradise for sport lovers who can sail on it, or try to waterski or wakeboard. Out of the water, scale the

peaks with Via Ferrata, a technique of cliff climbing with the help of levels fixed at the wall.

Adventure Park, Aigle A leisure concept in a natural

forest environment! A playground for beginners to con-

firmed adventurer. Equipped with a special harness, you

can travel through the treetops at heights of up to 15

metres in complete safety. Five routes of varying difficulty

exciting rapids, then relax while floating through the fertile

countryside.

flight over the Alps, a wonderful experience in a whisper of

tranquility as you journey into the vast expanse of blue and

white splendor!

teed! Just 30 minutes from Montreux-Vevey is the only

toboganning park in Switzerland where you can snow tube

Themes

A successful event is an original one, an event that creates a surprise while entertaining the

participants. Take advantage of the many possibilities of themed activities and original venues available

in Montreux Riviera!

So fine chocolate You can’t think of Switzerland and

not think of chocolate! And in Montreux Riviera, you won’t

be disappointed — chocolate shops are on almost every

corner with the finest products!

Consider making a day centred on chocolate! In its con-

fectionery, the Poyet family welcomes groups for a guided

tour of their factory, a demonstration of chocolate making

and a tasting session.

If you have more time, get on the chocolate train from

Montreux to the village of Broc. You travel exclusively in

1st Class authentic "Belle Epoque" Pullman cars for the

visit to the Cailler-Nestlé chocolate factory, which includes

a film presentation followed by a mini-tour of the factory

and an all-you-can-eat chocolate tasting.

As an end to the theme, place a pillow gift of chocolate in

everyone’s room that evening!

Wine Country Montreux Riviera has an incredibly rich

wine-growing tradition, with some of the country’s finest

wines. A lovely walking tour can be done along the numer-

ous beautiful wine trails that crisscross the countryside,

ending with a picnic in the middle of a vineyard. Or you can

take a tour which takes you on a drive along la "Corniche,"

the steep and narrow roads that lead you through the vil-

lages and along the large and typical stone houses where

the wine growers live and press their grapes—of course

allowing time for tast-

ings and visits to the different vineyards. An alternative

tour is the Wine Train, which takes you through the ter-

raced vineyards of the lovely Lavaux region to the village

of Chexbres.

Cheese Just like chocolate, cheese is a product that

you cannot miss in Switzerland. Montreux Riviera is

located only 40 minutes away from Gruyères, a tiny hill-

top village of medieval magic, famous for its 12th centu-

ry castle and choice cheese. During a visit to a dairy you

can see the cheese being made and taste the finished

product.

The 17th century cheese dairy in le Moléson invites you

to discover the secrets of the traditional art of cheese

making in a huge cauldron on the fireplace inside the

chalet. There you can enjoy the specialities of “La

Gruyère”: fondue, double cream, salted and smoked

ham. The cheese “Etivaz,” a bit less famous than the

Gruyères, but just as tasty, is also made in dairies in the

mountains between Gruyères and Montreux Riviera.

Leisure parks Montreux Riviera is surrounded by many

leisure parks. Do some karting or bowling at Fun Planet,

get lost in the biggest permanent maze in the world, or

fresh up in the water slides of Aquaparc! So many possi-

bilities to have fun during the day! These places and oth-

ers can be rented exclusively for your group.
