If you’d like to contribute to St. André’s Parish electronically—one time only or monthly, either from your checking account or credit card—you can now do so directly from the parish website: standres.org. Thanks for your generosity

Welcome to St. André’s Parish! No matter who you are, where you’ve come from, or what brings you here, we’re so glad to have you with us. St. André Bessette (1845-1937) spent much of his life serving as the door-keeper of his religious community; like him, we strive to open doors for our neighbors to experi-ence the loving mercy of God. May Jesus fill your heart with his grace and peace!

From Fr. Joe…

It’s hard to believe, but next Sunday is already Palm Sun-day. Please take note of our special Mass schedule that day—the same as we’ve had for several years now. Due to some sched-uling conflicts, we will not have our usual Sugar on Snow brunch this year, but we will be having coffee and donuts after the 9:30am Principal Mass. There’s also the ecumenical ser-vice, The Seven Last Words of Christ, that’s well worth your time at 4:00pm next Sunday afternoon.

We’re also in need of… We need greeters. No training necessary—just the ability to smile and say hello before Mass, and to hand out bulletins after Mass. It’d be great if some families were willing to do this. Not sure about it? Give it a try! Just tell the greeter already on hand that you’d like to help. I personally don’t mind handing out a few bulletins after Mass, but it does prevent me from being available to folks like I ought to be at that time.

We need food pantry workers. The Good Samaritan Food Pan-try served over 150 households in March. It’s about more than food: we’re seeing people return to Mass, borrow books or DVDs, ask for Bibles and rosaries, and request prayer. Be a part of this important work of mercy and evangelization. Contact the office for more information.

We need some folks to coordinate our annual garage sale. Those who have generously run it the last several years are unable to do so this year—but there’s willing to share their wis-dom with whoever is willing to take the lead. This is an im-portant fundraiser for St. André’s (it raised over $14,000 in 2018)…but I also know that I’ve got plenty of stuff ready for the sale, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one. Yes, it’s hard work, but it’s also fun and rewarding. If you’re interested, please let me know ASAP.

Listen to Fr Joe’s homilies at: fromemptyhands.blogspot.com/ Is God Calling YOU

―I have indeed been taken possession of by Christ Jesus.‖ Are you called to belong to Christ alone as a priest, deacon or through the consecrated life? If you are considering a vocation as a priest, deacon or in the consecrated life, let the grace of prayer encourage you. Call Fr. Joe at 483-1300 or 483-4074, or Fr. Doug Lucia at (315) 386-2543/ [email protected] or Cathy Rus-sell, the Diocesan Vocation Coordinator at (315)393-2920, ext. 1450/[email protected]. See us also on Facebook or at www.myvocation.net.
