The history of Rozzi Fireworks started with Paul Rozzi, a fireworks maker, in a small town in Italy in the late 19th century.

The town where the family heritage began is called Pietramelara.

His fireworks were made primarily to celebrate festive occasions - religious feast days.

Paul Rozzi emigrated to USA at the turn of 20th century.

Paul settled in New Castle, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh.

Paul Rozzi started his own company in 1895.

His son Arthur learned his father’s skills and refined production and factory techniques.

Arthur Rozzi and Mary Decarlo married and had 2 sonsPaul and Joseph.

In 1920’s Arthur made a reputation as a great fireworks maker in St Louis, Florida and Ohio.

In 1930 Arthur Rozzi moved to Loveland Ohio.

In 1931 he set up a workshop on Lebanon Road in Loveland, and got a contract to shoot shows at Coney Island.

The won a contract to shoot for the Reds at Crosley Field including the first baseball night game in 1935.

Arthur Rozzi started manufacturing commercial consumer fireworks for sales in Oklahoma, California, Louisiana, Tennessee and all “open” states.

First products were:Roman Candles, Rockets, Whistles, FountainsThe biggest sellers were:Aerial Bombs, Silver Salutes, Cherry Bombs

Change in government regulation and cheaper products from China saw the decline in US manuafcturing of consumer fireworks. Rozzi’s focused on display fireworks, and became the largest producer of display fireworks in the United States!- manufacturing about 1,000 different types of fireworks

Paul and Joe Rozzi passed on their skills to the present fourth generations of Rozzi’s who design innovative fireworks shows and pyrotechnic events.

Each Rozzi fireworks show is custom designed.

John Rozzi is the current President of Rozzi’s Fireworks.
