Page 6: Risk Identification of Fauquier County Transportation Corridors Progress Report 23 April 2007 Charlottesville, VA.

6

Methodology (cont)

2. Using existing GIS data, identify areas where probability of development is low (wetlands, easements, etc)

Developed with Chad Tucker, Rick Tambellini, and Bryan Kelley, 3/28/2007

Page 7: Risk Identification of Fauquier County Transportation Corridors Progress Report 23 April 2007 Charlottesville, VA.

7

Methodology (cont)

3. Identify medium and high intensity activity centers

4. Apply travel time gradients from all points on the road network to activity centers

5. Identify low-intensity areas on the road network within reasonable travel times of activity centers, thus signaling some risk of future development

Developed with Chad Tucker, Rick Tambellini, and Bryan Kelley, 3/28/2007
