Introduction

The main purpose of this brochure is to raise awareness of the Ripamonti Group Mechanical Workshops (RIPAMONTI GIANMARIO & F.LLI s.n.c and RIPAMONTI MECCANICA s.r.l.), and to introduce some of the characteristics that have made them leaders in the world of machining.In the field of precision machining and, in particular, in the production of critical and complex components, the trust of the Customer in its supplier is a basic and indispensable element: after more than 40 years of history, our ambition remains the same, to fully meet the needs of the Customer, both nationally and internationally.Starting from the quality of the products to the process management, from the specialization of all personnel to their continuous training, from high-tech machine tools to the continuous improvement of the production system, from the excellent measuring instruments to the execution of internal testing and certifications, we are proud to tell you our story, starting from the idea of its young founder, until the present day ...

The historyRipamonti Mechanical Workshops was founded as an individual firm by Mr. Gianmario Ripamonti in 1974 and became a general partnership company in 1977, when his brothers joined him.The company was initially started as a generic mechanical turning workshop and subsequently grew, expanding its machinery and specializing in the manufacture of different kinds of goods, such as parts of machine tools, mechanical components for combustion plants and iron and steel plants, spare parts and components for energy generation plants.In the early 90s the company purchased an industrial unit to fulfill the need to enlarge the facility, and moved from Palazzago to the current premises in Almenno San Bartolomeo. Since then, the work spaces have been constantly increased up to the current area of 15000 sqm, of which 4000 sqm are covered and dedicated to the workshop.The decision to focus on product quality and the services provided has proved to be successful for the growth and development of the Ripamonti Mechanical Workshops, which achieved the prestigious UNI EN ISO 9001 certification in 1996 and has maintained it until today.

Evolution To satisfy the increasing demand of our Customers and to follow the industrial and technological development of recent decades, the Company has been pursuing a continuous evolution process in every field: this has allowed it to increase the fame that the Ripamonti Mechanical Workshops has earned in both domestic and international markets constantly over the years. Confirmation of the high standards achieved by the Company is also reflected by the fact that, despite the global economical and financial difficulties of recent years, orders have remained constant and the number of personnel has actually increased.

Our strengths:

• complete fulfillment of the Customer’s qualitative requirements;

• consolidated technical and managerial know-how obtained over 40 years of experience, still in continuous development;

• care of the environment and production of “clean energy”, as proved by the large solar photovoltaic system installed on the roof of the workshops;

• motivated, capable, experienced and professionally prepared personnel, still in constant training;

• “the youth of the company growing up”: young staff growing together with the company (60% of the personnel are less than 35 years old, but many of them have been with the company for more than 15 years);

• constant upgrade of the machinery (50% of the machine tools installed are less than 10 years old, 30% are less than 5 years old and at least one new machine tool has been installed yearly over the last 10 years);

• level II certifications based on magnetic particle inspections, dye penetrant inspections and visual/dimensional tests performed by internal staff;

• additional services at sub-suppliers:

- heat treatments, surface treatments, coatings (Stellite, stainless), painting;

- grinding, deep drilling, welding, calendering, bending, execution of welded structures;

- ultrasonic checks and mechanical tests;

- supply of traditional raw materials and latest generation materials.

Certificates

The spontaneous and continuous application of quality principles, the ability to consistently provide a service that meet the Customer’s requirements and the wish to operate continuous improvement of its standards has led Ripamonti Mechanical Workshops to achieve the first UNI EN ISO 9001 certification in 1996, with RINA body.

Since then this certification has been continuously renewed and in 2008 the certification body changed to TÜV HESSEN.
