RGC: SCOTT RIZZAScott went out of his way to do some research on a check writing system for the payroll deduction program. He took the time to set us up for a demo and suggested the appropriate materials. Thanks Scott!| Nominated By: Allison McEachern

RGC: DAVID RUSTDave is often my “go to” person, when I have questions on how to class a risk or find the best market - or if I have a problem with a carrier’s website. He never hesitates to put on his DND and give me his time and advice, which is invaluable. He also helps others in our department, sometimes even writing an extra line of business (if the CM is out). Way to go Dave - I appreciate the extra help you give to me and to others! | Nominated By: Mina Vaughn

RGC: JOHN GAYNIERI am so appreciative of John’s efforts to pitch in the help the Client Managers with onboarding and service of his new accounts. He makes a very solid effort to be available to them not just to answer questions, but to assist in communication with the insured which is vital during the process of defining their needs. John is respectful and understanding of the

client manager’s varying workloads and always willing to work with us to get the job done. It is often felt that there is a gap between sales and service in organizations like ours. John is working hard to bridge the gap and we very much appreciate his efforts. | Nominated By: Claudia Furtado

RGC: REGGIE ROLLESI attended a cafe visit with Reggie at Good Samaritan Hospital as part of my new hire training. This was an extremely busy visit with people actually standing in line to speak with Reggie. He did a fantastic job of addressing all of the questions. However, I am nominating him specifically for his exceptional service to one of our auto clients. This client showed up with a check (no payroll deduction) for switching his auto coverage. He was expecting Reggie to have his insurance ID card (state of RI), which Reggie was unaware of. The client had come in early for his shift specifically to meet with Reggie and obtain the ID card. The change was effective at midnight that night and the client, who was working the late shift, was very concerned about driving home that night without his card. In the process of helping this client, Reggie was constantly fielding other employee questions, on his laptop looking for the client’s information, looking for previous emails from the underwriter, on the phone with the Client Manager team here at R&G and making calls to the carrier. It was complicated even further by the client’s son changing from a MA. License to RI license without the carrier or Reggie knowing of this change until the carrier mentioned the son’s license had been expired since 2013. After initially being told it would not be resolved that day and 45 minutes on the phone with the carrier, Reggie continued to pursue the issue until he was ultimately successful in obtaining the insurance card. Nice job Reggie! Fantastic example of going above and beyond! | Nominated By: Matt McCarthy

BLUEBERRY CRUMBLE BARSCrust & Crumble Topping1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted1 cup all-purpose flour3/4 cup old-fashioned whole-rolled oats (don’t use quick cook or instant, they’re finer and behave like flour and will make mixture too dry)1/2 cup granulated sugar1/4 cup light brown sugar, packedpinch salt, optional and to taste

Blueberry Layer12 ounces (2 cups) blueberries (fresh or frozen; I used frozen and didn’t thaw - will affect baking time)1/3 cup granulated sugar2 tablespoons lemon juice2 teaspoons cornstarch

Directions1. Preheat oven to 350F. Line an 8-inch square pan with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray; set

aside. Lining the pan helps with cleanup and is recommended.2. Crust and Crumble Topping - In a large, microwave-safe bowl melt the butter, about 1 minute on high

power.3. Add the flour, oats, sugars, optional salt, and stir to combine. Mixture will be dry and sandy with some

larger, well-formed crumble pieces.4. Set 1 heaping cup mixture aside to be sprinkled on later as crumble topping.5. Transfer remaining mixture to prepared pan, and using a spatula or your fingers, hard-pack the mixture

to create an even, smooth, flat crust; set aside.6. Blueberry Layer - In a large mixing bowl (same one used for crust and crumble is okay), add all

ingredients and toss to combine. If sugar hasn’t dissolved fully that’s okay because it liquefies while baking.

7. Evenly distribute blueberry mixture over the crust.8. Evenly sprinkle the blueberry layer with the reserved crumble topping mixture. 9. Bake for approximately 55 minutes, or until edges are set and center has just set. Crumble topping

should appear set and very pale golden.10. Place pan on a wire rack and allow bars to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
