Just because the theme of Revels is ‘We. The Change’, it doesn’t mean that people can keep changing their minds and

asking us to stand or sit whenever they fancy.

Beginning the ceremony by the traditional lighting of the lamp, the inaugural ceremony of Revels 2012 was perfect,

including Dr. Aithal’s inspiring ‘Green Oath’ which was echoed by everyone present. Everything went smoothly and the

ceremony was graced by all those involved. And of course, the best part was the free food.

PS – Irrespective of what anyone said, Revels is not the Technical Festival of MIT. Not yet atleast.

MAKE UP YOUR MIND...

HAPPENED A WEEK AGO. BUT NO, THIS WAS THE OPENING FOR REVELS,

THE CULTURAL FEST OF MIT.

KAILASHKAILASH KHER, ‘THE POWER HOUSE OF ENERGY’, WAS THE TOAST OF

THE EVENING. HE EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS BY COMING ON TIME

AND HIS APPEARANCE WAS GREETED WITH APPLAUSES FROM THE

HUGE CROWD. HIS JOKE ON ‘KAR NATAK’ KA ‘NATAK MAT KAR’ REALLY

‘DID’ IT FOR US. AND THAT INITIATED A LONG SERIES OF UNCANNY

HUMOR, WHICH INCLUDED EVERYTHING FROM HIS WIFE TO BINANI

CEMENT.

BUTBUT WHEN KAILASH KHER SANG, WE WERE ALL MESMERIZED. HIS SONG

“ALLAH KE BANDE” SIMPLY TRANSPORTED THE AUDIENCE INTO A STATE

OF REVERIE, WHICH WAS UNFORTUNATELY BROKEN BY “WAIT FOR IT”,

ZEHEN! THE CROWD DISPERSED ALMOST INSTANTLY AFTER KAILASH

LEFT.

IMEANWHILE WE HOPE REVELS 2012 CONTINUES TO ENTHRALL US.
