Dr. Stern is a consultant to HMOs, physician groups, self-insured companies, unions, insurance
companies, and multi-hospital corporations. He is an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor of
Pharmacy at the University of Southern California (USC) School of Pharmacy, Assistant Clinical
Professor, UCSF School of Pharmacy, a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the
Western University of Health Sciences, an Adjunct Professor and Preceptor at the University of
the Pacific School of Pharmacy, a member of the Faculty of Business Policy and Strategy at
Woodbury University, and the Nursing and Business Schools of the University of Phoenix.
Dr. Stern and Pro Pharma specialize in integrating clinical and financial benefit management,
reforming patient care operations consistent with good business and clinical practice; strategic
analysis, forecasting and strategic implementation; management of pharmacy risk and
educational intervention with provider groups and integrated health care networks.
Dr. Stern and Pro Pharma assist self-insured and insurance companies with statistical analysis of
claims data to identify areas for fraud and abuse by providers as well as improvement in
employee performance, attendance, and wellness.
