FEMALE

16 – 20 YEARS

This matches my audience as my magazine is for females. Gender is represented through fashion, shopping and colours. Most teenage girls are interested in following the fashion of their idols, so fashion was a big part of my magazine. Seeing a famous solo artist wearing a new t-shirt or coat the girl’s would be interested in buying it or buying something similar.

This matches my audience as most teenagers between the age of 16 and 20 listen to chart / indie music. Most new solo artists are late teens to mid 20’s, this is influenced by the popular TV show the “X-Factor” as it encourages younger people to go on it so they become big and famous.

MIDDLE CLASS

This matches my audience due to the price of my magazine, it isn’t cheap but not really expensive. I think if I was to make my magazine anymore expensive the social class would raise from being Middle to Higher, as not many people would be willing to pay more than £4.00 for a magazine. With the higher class people being more interested in the stereotypical “shooting” and “fox hunting” this genre of magazine would not match their class.

ETHNICITY

My magazine is aimed at White/British people, as this is what the music genre is created by. Artists such as Pixie Lott, and Cheryl Cole fit into this category, but others such as Katy Perry and Rihanna do not. I don’t think this effects the way in which people judge the music or the magazines though.
