Production Strategy This production of Profiles in Modern

Performance will feature Jon Vikers, the

host of the show, and performance from

Singing Hoosiers Acapella group.

The whole production will be shot at

famous IU Cinema. Inside of these two

hours live show; Singing Hoosiers will

prepare 12 songs including pop songs

mash-ups. The average length of song is 5

minutes each.

Then, there will another hour for the

opening, closing, and an interview with

John Waters in between each song,

roughly 4 minutes. In addition, for the

opening and ending, it should be 6 mins

each.

In total, there will be 4 cameras including a jib

putting into action, and three mounted with

tripods. For the Camera 1, long lens, it will be

set in the middle of the aisle to the front stage to

capture the wide shots during the performance

and interview. For the camera 2, it will be

placed on the front side to capture the

interaction between the talents and the

audiences. The camera three will be placed the

front left facing the audiences. It will be used for

audience reaction or audience question time.

Lastly, the jib will be located on the left side

behind to pan, tilt to show the whole lighting,

and performance movements.

For the lightening, the main resources will be

the spotlights and beam lights IU cinema has,

and the color temperature, hues will be

controlled in the cinema control room.

For the audio, the main resources will be

handheld mics.

HOOSIER

The show will be opened with an opening

graphic including Profiles in Modern

Performance, the host, the guest performer and

the location. The music starts to play.

Then, it will fade into camera 3 showing the

audiences reaction. Then the host Milton Chase

generally walks toward the main stage, following

by a job move pushing-in. Milton will open the

show, and introducing the guest. The light will

start to dim, and when Andy Grammar enters the

stage from the sidesand begins to sing. The

lights will be turned on stronger. Spotlights will

land some cool colorful patterns during the

shows. Then, after the performance, talents will

wait and stand on the stage. The host will walk

toward Andy for the interviews. The camera 1, 2

will be used mainly. It will be the same process

for each song. For the ending, Jon will make a

speech ending the show. Then rolling the ending

credits, and fading out to black.
