REPAIR YOUR HEART HEALTHREPAIR YOUR HEART HEALTHREPAIR YOUR HEART HEALTHREPAIR YOUR HEART HEALTH

In addition to the effects of weight loss and a balanced microbiome, our cardiovascular system stand the most to gain from our efforts. It's a good thing too...because heart health has more impact on our wellness than any other organ in our bodies. Let's learn more about how we can take care of this extremely vital system. That is where the IN.FORM program comes in. Last month you read Carl's testimony with his remarkable test results. We have focused on the relationship between our gut and the health of our heart, the change in our food and diets over the last century, the role of cholesterol in our bodies and that oxidized LDL is even more dangerous than LDL alone, and that healthy fats are essential for the body to function properly. At the end of 90 days, the IN.FORM study participants experienced greater results with supplements than those with diet alone: 56% more weight loss 65% more fat loss 125% greater reduction in systolic blood pressure 62% greater reduction in diastolic blood pressure 66% greater reduction in triglycerides 129% greater reduction in total cholesterol 80% greater reduction in LDL cholesterol And after the 90 days, Nature's Sunshine has a mainte-nance plan that will provide you with the ability to stay the course of healthy living. There will be new classes starting the end of January so sign up now.

We are in need of more volun-teers. As of now we have a wait-ing list due to lack of help. For 2016 we had over 360 visits by children and teens so you can see why we are in need of more help. Could you be of help to us? It will warm your heart to see the smiles on the faces of the children and teens that come here just as it does ours. Morning openings for barn chores: Monday-Friday (sometimes Saturday & Sunday) Evening openings for barn chores: Monday (sometimes oth-er evenings) Some students come during the school day or after school and others on the weekends so there are needs at those times, also. In February we will have a family gathering to make Val-entine's for others. Is there something you could donate such as decorations for the cards which we make? Thank you for your support of our program here at Sun-rise. We appreciate your kindness more than words can express. Our mission statement - Encouraging Youth to find Hope

SUSPICIOUS SITUATIONSUSPICIOUS SITUATIONSUSPICIOUS SITUATIONSUSPICIOUS SITUATION A Reedsville resident reported an individual placing paperwork on their home door. The paperwork was requesting the home owner complete the paperwork containing personal information. The resident did not feel comfortable with this and reported the incident to law enforcement. The individual placing the paper returned a few days later and the Reedsville Police department was able to speak with and identify the individual. The individual was a member of the US census bureau working in our area. The worker had proper identification and the police department verified through the Chicago Regional Office this individual was conducting business in our Village. Upon speaking with the individual we learned the bureau is currently working on the American Community Survey and advised if a resident is selected but does not return the paperwork the bureau may send a representative to the address selected to follow up. We are hap-py the resident took proper steps to protect their personal information and property and contacted law enforcement so we could follow up on the situation. Always use caution if someone contacts you regarding personal information, ask for identification and be cautious of allowing people into your home, if you feel uncomfortable you may choose to not answer the door and contact the police department or you may ask the person to return at a later time and have some-one you trust with you when the person returns. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact our department at (920) 754-4656 or the Manitowoc Sheriff Department at (920) 683-4201 If someone contacts you stating they are from the Census bureau here are steps you may take to identify the worker. How to Identify a Census Field Representative If you are visited by someone from the United States Census Bureau, here are some RECOGNITION TIPS to assure the validity of the field representative; •Must present an ID Badge which contains: photograph of field representative, Department of Commerce watermark, and expiration date. •Will provide you with supervisor contact information and/or the regional office phone number for verification, if asked. •Will provide you with a letter from the director of the Census Bureau on U.S. Census Bureau letterhead. •May be carrying a laptop and/or bag with a Census Bureau logo. Should you want to contact someone for verification Wisconsin is covered by the Chicago Regional Office (630) 288-9200 or 1-800-865-6384 or TDD: (708) 562-1791

In 2016 we completed our recent fund drive. Money was raised to purchase spot-lights and a wireless control board to be used in the high school gym. Pictured is The-resa Schuh, Finance Officer for the Alumni Association, presenting a check to Tony Butturini, Reedsville's Su-perintendent/High School Principal. Looking on is Andrew Maertz, School Board President. Our next project is already started with the funds left from this project. Keep an eye out for announcements regarding our 60th birthday celebration.
