APRIL 2017 Recent Highlights Utopia Kickoff Meeting in New Philadelphia – Kinder Morgan recently held a kickoff training in New Philadelphia, Ohio. Mayor Joel Day welcomed crewmembers to the City and highlighted the local attractions. Pictured is Mayor Joel Day addressing the attendees. Pipe Delivery – The Utopia Project will be built utilizing American-made steel pipe. Shipments of the pipe are currently being delivered by rail to our pipe yards near Canton and Mansfield, Ohio. Utopia Profile: Public Affairs Joe Demaree Joe Demaree, an Ohio native currently living in Canal Fulton, serves on the Utopia Public Affairs Team. Joe is responsible for communicating with elected officials and stakeholders along the proposed Utopia pipeline route. Joe has visited with elected officials in each county, township and municipality traversed by the Utopia project. Currently, Joe has been visiting with each local agency to secure road permits and road-use maintenance agreements. Kinder Morgan has agreed to enter into RUMA’s with local agencies, such as the County Engineer or with Township Trustees, impacted by the construction of the Utopia pipeline project. The RUMA states that Kinder Morgan will repair any damage to roads caused by Utopia road traffic to “as good or better conditions as existed at the time Utopia construction commenced.” The RUMA also outlines which roads have been approved for Utopia contractors to utilize.
