To the left is a screen shot of the questionnaire I created and handed out. As a group we decided to created a short questionnaire, of which we then handed out to 16 members of our target audience, ranging from 16 years of age to 21. We have asked general questions and generated answers for our target audience to circle or tick to gain more precise information and answers. We have included the question “what genre would you class our short film?” to see if we have accurately portrayed our piece, of which was intended to be classed as drama genre.

To the right is a doughnut chart, showing the percentage of males and females who took part in our questionnaire, overall we asked 9 males and 7 females. We decided to ask slightly more males as our piece is strongly male orientated in areas and wanted to generate as much accurate and valuable responses from our specific target audience.

The results from this question show that overall our final short film, Dead

End was a success with our target audience.

we have essential, hit are goal of producing a Drama

genre film, I can understand why some people would

class our film as a crime or a romance due to a small over lap of all three genres within

our piece.

Question 4: How would you describe our final short film Dead End?

The results gained here are all rather positive, I had a discussion with the person who marked our

film as improvable to see what she would do to have made it better, she quoted “the pan shot in the

opening scene could be improved”. which as a group we already were aware of but were unfortunately unable to re shoot, this feedback

was very helpful.

Question 5: What were your initial thoughts of the typography?

The results here are average, which could be easily improved, but feel the typography is not an essential part to the main plot of the film, it

just adds to the piece creating a more professional effect.
