Yavapai Reentry Project events
In April, seven new community
members were trained to become
Community Coaches for people
returning to Yavapai County from prison. Over 20 people were educated on the challenges community members
returning from prison face when transitioning home from prison. And, almost 30 people attended the Community Coach
Appreciation Brunch to hear about the success Coaches contribute to community members returning from prison.
Coaches were encouraged, appreciated, and congratulated for contributing to the success of a positive reentry
experience. Dump the Drugs events throughout the County

Over 80 people were educated on substance abuse trends, as well as effective prevention and enforcement strategies for drug and alcohol abuse at the June Drug & Alcohol Awareness Symposium.
25 people were trained on techniques of Motivational Interviewing in April.
Over 100 people attended the Walk With Me, Be Drug Free Family Fun Walk at Yavapai College in April.
Almost 900 doctors in Yavapai County received educational materials on prescription drug abuse, pain management, and the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program.
