    I have been a customer of US Bank (and all the predesessors) forever. The thought of closing the Graceland branch goes against all the smart business practices I can think of

    - customer service...did you do a survey of the customers of the bank ....NO - customer service....did you think that you were closing the best bank branch in Columbus....NO - customer service....did you realize your customers come inside the bank because everyone there is so friendly - customer service ....did you realize that you have the best manager ( is central Ohio - customer service... did you realize that the tellers there know everyones name and greet them by name - customer service... did you realize banking is not numbers ...its relationships

  • . A year ago you changed the computer systems without talking to the tellers...and it was a total disaster for the first 6 weeks. I was a management consultant for 10 years before I got into real estate. All my accomplishments were because I went to the bottom level of employees and the customers of their service and asked them how to fix the problems...closing this branch , tells me US Bank didnt do that ....BIG mistake.

    Now , go back and do the survey you should have done in the first place and I'll bet you 98% of the customers will say NO, dont close this branch....not because of location , but because they are "family" .

    Thank you for your email regarding the decision to close the Graceland branch at 5020 N. High St. in Columbus.  We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and share your thoughts.

    U.S. Bank takes the closure of a branch very seriously.  We take many factors into consideration when making the decision, including how the branch is used and the location of other branches.  In this case, the demand for services at the Graceland branch necessitated a change in our approach.

    We understand that the closure of branch may create an inconvenience but know that we are dedicated to working with our customers to mitigate the inconvenience as best we can.  We are proud to have served our customers at the Graceland branch, and hope that we can continue to serve the community at one of our other locations in the area, including the Worthington branch at 688 High St. that is two miles away and the Henderson Road branch at 1991 Henderson Road that is less than four miles away.  

    We always strive to deliver a great customer experience and appreciate your feedback on a previous example that missed the mark.  We also appreciate the kind words about the Graceland branch team.  Just as with our customers, we are committed to making the transition as smooth as possible for our employees.

    Dear Sir/Madam-

    This letter is in response to a letter I received notifying me that the branch, US Bank 5020 N High Str, is being considered for closing. I’m a senior citizen and have been using this branch for probably over 25 years. It is centrally located and is across the street from Graceland Shopping Center. I shop at the Krogers there and get my medicine from there. Please keep this office open and consider closing the Worthington branch at 688 High Str. I have my checking, savings and online banking at this location US Bank. My VISA credit card is with US Bank. I don’t want to have to go with another bank and have to go through transferring everything to another bank.

    Please - Please do not close my location at Graceland, 5020 N. High Str. I want to keep my business with US Bank. Please let me know.

    We acknowledge receipt of your letter dated July 29, 2019 regarding US Bank's plans to close its branch office located at 712 Jackson Pike, Gallipolis, OH 45631, known as the Spring Valley Office on October 30, 2019. The bank's decision to close the branch office is a business decision that does not require the approval of the OCC. However, we will consider your comments in connection with our next Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) evaluation of the bank when we will review the effect of the bank's record of opening and closing offices. In addition, we will take the bank's record of performance under the CRA into account when we review applications by the bank to establish or relocate branches or to merge with other banks.

    To Whom It May Concern,

    I am writing this letter comment on the closing of the US Bank branch located at 712 Jackson Pike, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631. I have been a customer at this branch for over 30 years. I like the convenience of the location and the fact that the ATM is a drive thru ATM. The new location that I am supposed to bank at is inconvenient and more congested. The other issue is that you cannot drive thru the ATM but you must park and walk to the ATM in inclement weather and I feel that a person's safety is in jeopardy at the new location by leaving their vehicle and walking to and from the car to the ATM.

    I realize your organization does not have. the authority to approve or prevent the closing but I do hope that you can influence the decision.
