PYP Exhibition process has started!4th April

Grade 5 has started their work for the PYPExhibition. This represents the culminating eventof the PYP programme. The central idea is the following:

Communities are affected by economic activity!

    This is an inquiry into:

    What economic activities are

Types of economic activity in our local community com-pared to communities worldwide

Factors that affect the economic activity

The effects of economic activity on our community

Ten different groups of students will be working together. Notonly are they researching the questions above, but they aregetting involved in an economicproject. The student groups will startwith a small capital and must investthis in a business project which willcreate funds for a charity project. The different projects are the follow-ing:

    2nd hand games/books/dvds2nd hand toys2nd hand jeans/clothesSelling baked goods- cookies-Selling cakes2nd hand sports equipmentMobile Sandwich ShopRe-designing clothes/frames etc.2nd hand things

    Selling drinks

They have the added challenge that they should

not be using the school for their sales project.

On April 4th and 5th PYP5 will be exhibitingtheir findings and even continuing to sell their

    products!
