Corowa Connectswith Mrs BailyTo our Year 6 students, Wow, what an education you have had at Corowa public School! You have managed to negotiate many new learning curves, from standing in line, eating when a bell goes and having to share everything, to leading groups and guiding others. You have worked and collaborated with many peers, teachers and principals. I hope that you are set and ready for your next challenge - high school.

High school will inspire you to be creative, take chances and make new friends. Remember to keep a positive outlook and that means more than just smiling, it is your ability to be optimistic and view the past, present and future in a positive way.

We all have good days and bad days, things that bring us happiness and things that bore us. Therefore, I challenge you to focus on the positive aspects of your life. Always be grateful for the important things – family, friends and opportunities. Don’t sit back and wait for them to come; go and seek opportunities and make your time happen. With a positive attitude, you are more likely to be resilient and battle the challenges, but you are also capable of finding solutions.

You are extraordinary young people that are capable of many things. Let your inspiration, dreams and creativity fly as you enter the next phase of your development. You have left your mark on our school and you will always be a part of our family.

We are proud of you and all that you have achieved, and yes, I have a tear in my eye!

Best memory of Year 6: Doing the splits in NFL.

When I grow up, I want to be a: Professional Gamer because I love gaming and I am good at it.

My superpower would be: The ability to freeze, slow down and speed up time.

I will miss: Our handball squares because I have played in them for so long!

Frank BruinsmaThe high school I will attend: Trinity Anglican College

Best memory of Year 6: Helping to run the iron man at the Year 6 Fun Day.

When I grow up, I want to be: A Veterinarian because I have always liked animals and want to help them

My superpower would be: Healing to make being a vet easier.

I will miss: Doing maths every morning - it has helped me get better at maths!

Indianna SorellaNickname: Indi

The high school I will attend: Rutherglen High School

Best memory of Year 6: Having fun at the girl's lunch and the Year 6 Fun Day.

When I grow up I want to be: An artist because I love art!

My superpower would be: Animal girl because you look after and care for animals - I love animals.

I will miss: Miss Huggett - she is such a funny teacher!

Best memory of Year 6: The whole year.

When I grow up, I want to be: A football player because I love it, or a truck driver.

My superpower would be: Super speed - I like to be first!

I will miss: My friends.

Best memory of Year 6: The bus ride to Canberra with Lanah, Michayla and Mackenzey.

When I grow up, I want to be: A family daycare educator because I really like to care for younger children.

My superpower would be: Telekinesis

I will miss: Mr Baily's funny nature and the kindergarten students.

Best memory of Year 6: Being School Captain, the Year 6 Fun Day, Canberra camp and the Invictus Games.

When I grow up, I want to be: An interior designer because I like to create and decorate - it's one of my passions!

My superpower would be: Invisibility - I could be so sneaky!

I will miss: Miss Huggett's jokes and Narelle's mousses!

When I grow up, I want to be: A youtuber because it would be fun and you can make people's day.

I will miss: The muffin gang because we will forget it in high school.

When I grow up, I want to be: A marine biologist because I have always loved dolphins and other sea creatures.

I will miss: Narelle's pizza pockets and Miss Huggett’s laugh.

Best memory of Year 6: Invictus Games, Year 6 Fun Day and playing with my friends.

When I grow up, I want to be: A cook because most of my family are cooks and I love cooking.

My superpower would be: The ability to teleport.

I will miss: Maths with Mr C and sport with Mr Cook.

Best memory of Year 6: When we played lazer-tag and I thought I was winning, but I was actually last.

When I grow up, I want to be: A photographer because I like capturing special moments, even if they aren't mine.

My superpower would be: Invisibility - I could mess with people!

I will miss: Mr C banging the meter ruler on my desk.

Best memory of Year 6: Mrs Baily walking into our classroom and telling us about a bomber suit.

When I grow up, I want to be: Single because I don't need a man to distract me from my future job!

My superpower would be: I'd be a wizard like Harry Potter.

I will miss: All of the teachers - they are so funny!

Best memory of Year 6: The farewell and Year 6 Fun Day.

When I grow up, I want to be: A motocross racer because I love it so much or a tradie because I like to build things.

My superpower would be: Telekinesis to help and scare people!

I will miss: Mr C saying hello and playing sport with the whole class. It is always so fun!

When I grow up, I want to be: An airsoft player because I am quick at dodging and shooting and I have an airsoft gun.

My superpower would be: Water control.

I will miss: The school as I have so many good memories here!

Best memory of Year 6: Year 6 Fun Day, being vice captain, Canberra excursion, linkages and Orientation Day at CHS.

When I grow up, I want to be: A daycare worker because I am passionate about working with children and love little babies!

I will miss: Mr Cook saying hello everyday and being a captain.

When I grow up, I want to be: A dentist because I like helping people, or a lawyer because investigating crime is really cool!

My superpower would be: Flight - it would be easy to travel.

I will miss: Narelle's amazing food and Miss Huggett's teaching!

Best memory of Year 6: Going to Canberra and all of the other school trips.

When I grow up, I want to be: An airline pilot because I love planes and want to be like my pop who was a pilot.

My superpower would be: Flight so I could go wherever I like.

I will miss: All the teachers and staff like Miss Huggett, Mrs Grigg and Mrs Arnold.

When I grow up, I want to be: A nurse because you get to help people and fix their injuries.

My superpower would be: Invisibility so I could sneak onto rides at theme parks.

I will miss: Miss Huggett - she always challenges us in our learning.

Best memory of Year 6: Year 6 Fun Day because it was great to run the stalls.

When I grow up, I want to be: A police officer so I could be on the highway patrol and help to solve crimes.

My superpower would be: Super speed to get things done quickly!

I will miss: Frank because he can make anything funny!

Best memory of Year 6: When we had the girl's lunch with Miss Huggett and the other Year 6 girls.

When I grow up, I want to be: A netball player! I love sport, especially netball.

My superpower would be: Super speed - I love to run!

I will miss: Miss Huggett, Mrs Baily and all the teachers.

Best memory of Year 6: Being in the same class as all my friends and the Year 6 Fun Day.

When I grow up, I want to be: A hairdresser.

My superpower would be: Time travel so I could go back and forwards to see what has and will happen.

I will miss: Miss Huggett's smile and Narelle's sausage rolls!

When I grow up, I want to be: A gymnast at the Olympics because it's my dream!

I will miss: Mr Baily's dad-jokes and Miss Huggett's assembly items.

Best memory of Year 6: Year 6 Fun Day was really fun!

When I grow up, I want to be: A welder and boiler maker because my Mum, Dad and Pop have been one all their lives.

My superpower would be: Invisibility so no one can see when I sneak into the cupboard.

I will miss: Miss Huggett's teaching. She has really helped everyone in the class.

Best memory of Year 6: Being with my friends, helping people and doing jobs for teachers.

When I grow up, I want to be: A spy because I would be able to stop the Armageddon device.

My superpower would be: Wolverine claws, super flexibility, speed and super-human regeneration to save the world!

I will miss: Teachers and friends.

Best memory of Year 6: My first day because everyone was really welcoming and nice.

When I grow up, I want to be: An artist/actress/environmental activist - I am artistic and passionate about the environment.

My superpower would be: Time travel.

I will miss: Miss Huggett and my amazing new friends.

Miss HuggettNickname: Miss Cool

The high school I will attend: I am repeating primary school.

Best memory of Year 6: When Corey fell over, Eloise's dad-jokes, CJ's PBL drama acts and him falling asleep on the bus.

When I grow up, I want to be: Taller than Mickayla because grown-ups should be tall and it will help when I need to get things off the top shelf.

My superpower would be: Making children listen instantly and simultaneously because it has never happened before.

I will miss: My first Year 6 class and making them do tests everyday. I will not miss their poor knowledge of Paige Hadley and Johnny Cash, and them asking me if I will ever get a husband and have a baby.

Returning Permission NotesParents and students are reminded that if notes and money are not returned on or before the specified date, your child will not be allowed to attend the excursion or activity.

This is due to the new NSW Department of Education financial system and our need to meet payment deadlines.

Payment plans may be put in place if necessary, but must be organised with the principal ahead of time.
