- Located along the Nile River - Surrounded by desert - Prone to Invasion by Mesopotamia

Time Period: 3200 B.C.-500 B.C.

• II. Social System-The Pharaoh (king) was an absolute ruler. - The Pharaoh was seen to be a god- Warriors/Scribes/Merchants/Nobles/Priests

were in the middle of the social hierarchy- Peasants/Slaves were at the bottom of the

social pyramid

III. AccomplishmentsA. Hieroglyphics- Writing system based on

picture symbolsB. Building- Pyramids, temples, statues, palaces.
