Introduction of Antea Cement sha – Titan Group

Antea Cement sha is part of Titan Group;

Titan Group is a multinational company with 14

Cements Plans located in East Europe and Balkans

(Bulgaria, Serbia, FYROM, Kosovo, Albania), Greece,

Turkey, Egypt and USA,

Antea is new greenfield facility

Started construction 2007;

Started production of first clinker 2010;

Total capacity 1.5 million of cement;

Fully operational since 3 years with sale in domestic

market and exports in Montenegro, Italy, Libya, etc

Environmental Management System of Antea - ISO 14001

Antea has an Integrated Environmental Management

System according to ISO 14001:2004, ISO 9001,

OHSAS 18001:2007 and lately with SA 8000.

• ISO 14001:2004 certificate, received as of July

2012.

• System includes air emissions, quarries and

landscape aspects, groundwater, wells and waste

water aspects, liquid and solid waste, natural

resources & energy consumption, noise, etc.)

Antea has a CSR (Corporate social responsability) in

place, part of which is the Environment and health and

safety.

« Do more good and do less harm» Certification with ISO 14001:2004 in July 2012

Antea as part of Titan group, has group targets and

requirements.

In regard to Environment Antea reports to Group:

1. Daily environmental report, (Emissions to air from

point sources)

2. Monthly EPI-s (Environmetal performance indicators)

3. Monthly statiscs report.

Every three months reports to Albanian Authorities.

Anually Antea reports to Shareholders (IFC & EBRD)

Anually monitoring report.

As part of Titan Group we are following WBCSD/CSI standards for

calculation

and reporting of CO2 emissions

CO2 Emission Management System is incorporated in the EMS (acc. to

ISO 14001)

Direct emission:

CO2 from raw materials

CO2 from kiln fuels (use of fossil fuel only)

CO2 from non-kiln fuels (driers, boilers, internal transportation)

Indirect emission:

CO2 from external power generation

CO2 from export/import of clinker

Conclusions - Tuning to the PRTR

requirements

Regarding PRTR requirements, Antea has only to adapt to the format

All required information, already monitored, collected and reported

according to Group requirements

Reliability of data are achieved due to periodically check and

calibration of monitoring devices

Actual systems of monitoring and reporting fully meets PRTR

requirements

No estimation methods used during reporting

Reporting on time and fully complaing with environmental permit

requirements and other

Anual Audits performed by group on quality assurance of data reported

Annual meeting within group, on environmental performance/meet of

Group targets
