We specialise in helping you learn English for the real world, so that you can use your language skills socially, at work or as part of your studies. You can choose Cultural Experience where we take you out into the real world for your lessons, which are based on the local culture of your school in Dublin, London or Totnes.
Or you can discover how we combine traditional teaching with intuitive technology, using iPads and Apple TV, to bring the real world into the classroom. We have a range of these courses that include General English, Intensive English, Exam Preparation and English for Work.
Our schools are in historic buildings but are modern, bright and trendy inside. To take away any worries you have, there is a 100% money back guarantee. Every one of our students has a target they want to reach – our job is to help you get there.

Dublin has the perfect balance between big city and small town. It is a city where the friendly people love to introduce visitors to Irish culture, music and dramatic landscapes. Expect the unexpected in Dublin as in one day you can visit a world-class museum, try your hand at sailing, try your first Guinness and finish it all with some of the best live music in the world. Language in Dublin is perfectly located for this experience, in the seaside area of Dun Laoghaire, with accommodation close to the school and just a short trip from the city centre.
The best way to learn a language is to use it and the people of Dublin will help you practise with their hospitality and kindness. Dublin was also home to some of the great English language writers of the 20th Century and this love of the language continues with our passionate and dynamic teachers.

Totnes is not just a typical small town in the South West of England. As well as the fantastic, friendly people, the history and the relaxed atmosphere it has a vibrant restaurant and pub culture, is the centre of the Transition Town movement and is home to many dynamic young creative people. Language in Totnes is a perfect example of our blend of modern and traditional, situated in the centre of the town in the old clock tower, but with the most modern classrooms available.
This atmosphere will help you reach your English goals more quickly as you can engage with, talk to and share ideas with the local people as well as making friends for life from the town as well as the school.

Each day you will spend three hours with English language teachers and three hours with drama trainers so that you develop all the skills that successful speakers have. On this course we use drama techniques to help you become an expert communicator in English… but it is not a drama course. We study and practise the ways the best English speakers make the language come alive. At Language in London you will have 50% of your lessons in the school and 50% at RADA Enterprises (part of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts).

EXAM PREPARATION: CAMBRIDGE, IELTSTo pass all exams you need to be good at English and the General English part of the course will help you develop your grammar and vocabulary so that you can reach the next English level. The exam preparation part of the course is aimed to accommodate the needs of high level students who are aiming to take a high level English Language Examination. By learning about other exams, we believe students will better understand the requirements of their own exam through comparison and discussion. Each week you will reflect on and practise a variety of skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening).
• Cambridge (FCE, CAE) – this is the group of exams which is recognised all over the world and is popular because it shows employers how much English you know and helps you progress from one level to the next.
• IELTS – this is the exam which is accepted by universities in most English speaking countries. The course will prepare you for all 4 papers in this Academic English test. All students take the same exam whatever their level is and then receive a score from 0 – 9.
ENGLISH FOR WORKEnglish for Work is the course that prepares you to be successful using English in the workplace. Everyone who works will at some time in their life need English and this programme covers a lot of the most common areas and subjects: applications and interviews, presentations, discussions and negotiations, formal and informal correspondence, socialising and networking. It is not about theory or teaching you about business. If you are from the EU and interested in a Work Experience placement then this is the ideal course to take before doing that.

COURSE FOR FOREIGN TEACHERS OF ENGLISHThis course is for teachers of English at secondary and tertiary level. Our sessions are based around participatory activities which are enjoyable, varied, and centred on the teacher rather than on the trainer. Our focus is on the real classrooms of our participants and sharing teaching activities that have worked.
Our first question is always, ‘what is your experience of this?’ By starting here, the focus of all our discussions and learning is always on how it all relates to each teacher’s personal teaching context. Our training activities encourage reflection and evaluation, and discourage passive acceptance.
40+ ENGLISH HOLIDAY40+ is an English programme for mature learners who want a holiday with some language practice – and to spend time meeting other people. Our course is based on Cultural Experience, which is an alternative way to improve your communication skills in English on a relaxed English course. This programme was awarded the British Council prize for innovation in English teaching and is a great way for mature learners to refresh and practise their language skills away from the classroom and traditional methods. Each lesson is taught outside the school in a local place of interest and cultural heritage, you will also have three extra afternoon or evening activities. Each day offers a special English lesson with a different cultural topic. The lessons are very relaxed, so don’t worry if you haven’t studied for a long time!
