• New CEO started 1 year go - Bob Blitshtein, most recently head of architecture at AIG’s
Chartis Unit ($50 billion annual premium)
• Began the work to turn IDP into a game changer
• Currently serving and supporting the operations of 26 insurance carriers
• Expecting to rapidly grow to 100+ customers (enabled to recently created agility)

We’ve made mistakes too…
• For our ETL component we initially chose an open source ETL vendor‒ Virtually impossible to fnd the needed skill set‒We paid top dollar ($$$) for professional services‒ The upgrade from the community version was not cheap‒ The product was inadequately documented‒ None of developers could run with it – we let 5 try
• Bottom line – we experienced a cash loss ($$$)
• Lesson Learned – don’t do that again. The hidden costs of open source can be painful and costly!
