Trying out different background ideas

The first three print screens are early stages of design work that have since changed.

Completed background after using brushes. Also completed masthead.

Main picture after using Magic wand tool

Dafont text for use on front cover.

Moved the image from the centre of the page to the right hand side.

Use of pull quote, text from dafont.

After moving the pull quote from under exclusive interview to under D.J parrow, which gave space for more text and gave a better affect on the audience.

Added free gigs and tours to the top of the magazine, (in the ‘Z’ area of the magazine to catch the reader’s eye.)

Added other tag lines, and a Competition.

Finished front coveradded a free C.D in the same style writing as the header.

Trying alternative colours.

Different effects on the masthead.

Background using brushes with effects.Purple is the same shade as the purple on the background of front cover.

Contents and page numbers, at an angle to give it an ‘edgy’ feel.

New image used, magic wand tool, and quick selection tool used.

D.J PARROW in same style font as on front cover also taken from Dafont.

Brushes, same as on front cover, but with different colours.

Background colour is same as on contents page, the brushes stand out against it.

Added first column of text, using red for the questions and black for the answers to make them stand out.Added a ‘fact file’ at the bottom.Font size is mainly 8, with the opening paragraph and the fact file slightly bigger at size 10.

I then used effects with drop shadow and stroke on the fact file to make it stand out.

And enlarged and free transformed a star and D.J parrow. As well as moving the text across the page so it covers the image.
