Issue 20 Term 4 - Week 10 Principal’s Message Plans for 2012 A tremendous amount of work has been done in preparation for next year. Our School Plan has been approved by our School Education Director and Re- gional Director and will soon be posted on our web- site for everyone to read. Many people have worked hard developing the plan but I’d particularly like to thank Mrs Nies for her tremendous efforts which in- volved many long hours. If you have not already done so please return the note sent home recently to indicate your plans for next year. It is especially important if you will be re- turning late or if you are moving and your child will not be returning to Bonnyrigg Public School. This information is vital to our planning and will allow us to keep a place for your child if he/she is not here at the beginning of Term 1, 2012. School Spectacular 2011 What a fantastic job our dancers did at the School Spectacular, held at the Sydney En- tertainment Centre. Some of our girls were amongst the youngest performers at the show and everyone did tre- mendously well in their performances, despite the very early starts and late finishes. Not only did they dance well, but it was also most pleas- ing to hear all the re- ports of their excellent behaviour. They were so good a number of teachers from other schools made a point of congratulating them. Very well done everyone. We are very proud of you! Our participation in the spectacular involved a huge amount of work by members of staff. Thank you to everyone for your support, but especially to Mrs Dick- son who made the fantastic costumes and to Mrs Brady, Mrs Howlett and Ms Clement for their great efforts with rehearsals and transport. Special thanks must go to Mrs Forland who organised the whole event, right from the initial application. Thank you very much to all the parents who supported us, your efforts are greatly appreciated and a thank you to Newleaf for their support with transport. The Spectacular will be shown on ABC TV – a one hour program on December 18 at 7:30 pm and a longer epi- sode on New Years Eve. End of Year Activities Our Movie / Picnic Day was a success last week. Thank you to Mrs Brady for her organisation. At the time of writing we are looking forward to our Presenta- tion Day and Year 6 Farewell. It has been a fantastic year at Bonnyrigg Public School, with a huge number of events and outstanding academ- ic programs. I’d like to thank all staff for their wonderful efforts, children for their terrific behaviour and attitude and parents for their great support. I wish everyone a Happy Christmas, New Year and holiday and look for- ward to another great year at Bonnyrigg Public School in 2012. Regards, Peter Ward School Calendar Week 10 Tues. 13th Dec.
