Uzbekistan is home to the most thrilling attractions, such as Aral Seas with its rapid dis-appearance, the fortresses in the remote Karakalpakstan Region, its thriving city capital of Tashkent and the eco-tourist possibilities of the Nuratau mountains, makes for even the most diverse tastes to be catered too. Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva never fail to impress tourists with their beautiful mosques, medressas or mausoleums.

Tea - Tea Culture is huge in Uzbekistan and there is a whole tradition behind how it is poured. The tradition states that tea has to be poured 3 times. The first pour called “Loy” which means “Mud”, followed by “Choy” which means “Tea” and the final pour is called “Moy” which means “Cream”, at which point tea is considered ready to be servered.

Tashkent is the sprawling core of Central Asia, where everything exciting in Uzbekistan is happening. This new national capital was largely established in 1966 after an earthquake hit Tashkent. It is packed with state agencies, as well as leafy soviet style architecture and in part a sleepy Uzbek town, where farmers typically sell their products on carts, pushed through a labyrinth of mud-walled houses, to the crowds present in the citys numours bazaars.

You will enjoy the entire day today at your own leisure, you will have access to transport for the whole day as well.

Day 2 - Tashkent

Tashkent City Wyndham HotelAfter breakfast you will begin your exploration of this wonderful city. Where you can feel the tension in the atmosphere between The West and Orient. You will discover some of the gems this city has to offer, which include:

Hastimon Complex - Barak Khan Madressa, Tillya Sheikh Mosque, Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum. This is the epicentre of Religious manuscripts in Tashkent.

Chorsu Bazaar - The oldest Bazaar in Uzbekistan, with a rich history of its importance on the Silk Road. You will find fruits, vegtables, dairy products, spices and all sorts of uzbek foods, that have been produced all over Uzbekistan.

Amir Timur Square - Public Square dedicated to the founder of the Timurid Empire, Amir Timur’s (Tamerland) statue takes pride of place here.

You will also visit and attend a Master Class at the famous Rahimov Ceramics Centre

Labi Hauz - “Edge of a pond”, This is one of the most favorite place in Bukhara where local inhabitants exchange their thoughts while having drink and food during free time. The trip is not completed unless you visit Trade Domes and Ancient Silk Market which is walking dis-tance.

Magokki Attori mosque - the unique complex, built on the site of former Zoroastrian temple

Architectural complex Poi-Kalyan - which means «Foot of the Great», includes the following Kalyan mosque and Miri Arab madrassah, Ulugbeg and Abdulazizkhan madrasahs.

Ark fortress - the symbol of the state power. has been the fortified residence of city leaders for over a millennium.

Bolo Hauz Mosque - the most important mosque in the city. There was time when Emir of Bukhara himself performed prayers every Friday followed by thousands of Muslims.

Poi-Kalon complex - Center for scholars and still have active madrassa for higher Islamic stud-ies. The minaret is full of decor with geometric, square and circle shape bricks.

Ismail Samani - one of the oldest monuments in the world built for the founder of the Samanid dynasty, its delicate terracotta brickwork disguises 2m-thick walls that have never needed repair

Chor Minor - known as madrasah Halif Niyazkul in Persian, “Four minarets” was built by merchant in 1807.

Naqshbandiy Complex - the tomb of the founder of the Sufi Order “Naqshbandia”. A spiritual teacher of Amir Temur, Naqshbandi made hajj to Mekka 32 times.

Sitorai Mohi Hosa -, the summer palace of Alim Khan (912–18), three building compound mixes Russian and Central Asian architecture.

Today for dinner you will visit a Local Family and learn to make the traditional Dish of Plov.

Naqshbandiy Complex



After breakfast you’ll travel to Gijduvan, a small town 46 kilometres north of Bukhara, best known for its excellent ceramics. Gijduvan is best known for its beautiful cermaics. Due to the intricate ornaments and variations of geometric figures the ceramic styles there are especially stunning to look at. The ceramic production can be followed live in the ceramic workshops, where you will spend your afternoon. Then continue on the journey to Samarkand. On the way you’ll visit the reservoir of Sardoba Malik and a Caravanserai in Navoi.

Ceramist’s Workshop: You will experince first hand, the process of making ceramics from the masters of the trade. gffg

Sardoba Malik: A UNESCO site, built in the 9th Century, this reservoir was used to housewater for they nearby town of Rabat-i-Malik.

Rabati Malik Caravanserai: Rabati Malik Caravanserai is constructed according to the order of Karakhanid Shams-al-Mulk Nasr, son of Tamgachkhan Ibragim ruled in Samarkand from 1068 until 1080.

Dilimah HotelNo name is as reminiscent of the Silk Road as Samarkand (Samarqand). For most people it has the mythical resonance of Zanzibar or Timbuktu, fixed in the Western popular imagination by imaginative poets and playwrights, few of whom saw the city in the flesh. On the ground the sublime, larger-than-life monuments of Timur (Tamerlane) and the city’s long, rich history still work some kind of magic. You will visit most of Samarkand’s high-profile attractions.

Registan Square - The Registan, which translates to ‘Sandy Place’ in Tajik, was medieval Sa-markand’s commercial centre and the plaza was probably a wall-to-wall bazaar.

Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum - The beautiful portal and trademark fluted azure dome of the Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum marks the final resting place of Timur (Tamerlane), along with two sons and two grandsons (including Ulugbek)

Shah-i-Zinda - Samarkand’s most moving and beloved site is this stunning avenue of mausole-ums, which contains some of the richest tilework in the Muslim world. The name, which means ‘Tomb of the Living King’, refers to its original, innermost and holiest shrineQusam ibn-Abbas, who is said to have brought Islam to this area in the 7th century.

Bibi Khanyum Mosque - Once one of the Islamic world’s biggest mosques, it pushed contem-porary (14th century) construction techniques to the limit, so much so that the dome started crumbling even before construction had finished.

Chor-Chino Garden - Urgut Dilimah HotelToday you will visit Urgut Bazaar (operates on Wed, Sat, Sun), this town’s bazaar is one of the best places in the country to buy jewellery, suzani and antique clothing. A mountainous dis-trict of Samarkand region. Situated only 40 kilometers from Samarkand at the foot of Zarafshan Mountains at a height of 1000 metres. Urgut has the largest market in theSamarkand region selling traditional handicrafts, both old and new. Other interesting Urgut sights include the Chor Chinor garden with its forty ancient plane trees, irrigated with waters from a sacred spring. After your day excursion return to Samarkand for overnight at your hotel.

In the morning, you will have time to visit the silk carpet manufacture, where you’ll learn more about the production, from the silkworm to the completed, artistically made carpet. Then your journey will take you back to the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. You will stop at the Amir Temur Gate and the honey market in Jizzakh during your journey back. The Market in Jizzakh is where people from neighboring villages come together to sell their goods. From May to June, the blossom honey, and in the following next two months, you can try “cotton honey”-a variety that is gathered during the cotton blossom. You can also stock up on delicious straw-berries, pears, plums and persimmons. Back in Tashkent, you will have more time for your leisurely activities. Take a stroll through the bazaar of Chorsu or many other Uzbek stores stores. You are sure to find a souvenir for yourself or for family and friends. Overnight in the city of Tashkent.
