What is PrepareFair 2012? PrepareFair is one way the Downtown Emergency Advisory Committee (DEAC), an initiative of the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District, is raising awareness about the important role that downtown businesses, building owners, managers and community members play in preparing for & responding to an emergency. The ultimate goal of the committee is to ensure everyone who works, lives and visits downtown Minneapolis knows what to do in an emergency allowing our community to return to normalcy quickly thereafter. DEAC if chaired by Ted Zwieg, Vice President of emergency response agencies and business leaders. Why was DEAC formed? communities have a strong history of working together.
