Representative Conference 2018Every 2nd year Unipower invites the re-seller team from around the globe

to Sweden for interaction. This year the invitation was also extended to an end-user to share their experience with the group.

The conference is an intense mix of detailed presentations of the latest functionalities added, market presentations held by representatives and interactions of needed developments to face the future market demands.

that enables you to integrate and analyze measurement files from our portable PQ meters together with the permanent meters. An advantage for instance at trouble shooting or mapping disturbance propagation.

Half time!

SmartCom - simple and cheap communication

The communication infrastructure is critical for the successful operation of the modern smart grids. The SmartCom communication is a new method of enabling Ethernet communication using dynamic IP address. The use of SmartCom communication technology ensures a reduction of communication cost and simplify the configuration of the communication between the Unipower Power Quality Management System and instruments around the network.

It doesn’t matter where the instrument is installed you just need to ensure that you have an internet connection. A flexible solution for remote communication is to use a 3G/4G router. The SmartCom solution allows you to use a standard pay SIM card for data, without thinking about the actual IP address.

Timmy at Technical SupportTimmy Jörgenssen, holding a degree in electrical engineering, have been working as Technical Support Engineer at Unipower for the last 4 years and is well known by most of our PQ Secure users.

- Timmy, could You describe your role as Technical Support Engineer?

- It comes with a ‘lot of variation from holding trainings here in Alingsås or at the customer, performing site supervision and supporting customers with various questions and guidance in our system.

- So, what are You up to right now?

- Right now, I am doing the system upgrades for our customers having service agreements. I am also monitoring the automatic download for our subscription customers to make sure communication is up.

UP-2210R on display Unipower was selected as the supplier of a PQ

surveillance system for a major project in the gulf. The project was timely delivered and commissioned earlier this year.

- Besides compliance with the technical specifications and having skilled local presence I believe our solution with one large substation touch-display integrated with all the PQ meters made the difference, says Russom Kebedom, Business Development Manager at Unipower.
