SEAMUS HEANEY(1939)

He is an Irish poet, writer and professor who was awarded Nobel Prize in Literature in 1995.He was elected Professor of Poetry at the University of Oxford. His works are famous for its lyrical beauty and ethical depth. His first book “Eleven Poems”, was published in 1965. “Selected Prose 1968-1978” were published in 1980. He is a poet who depicts vividly the peasant life in Ireland. He currently lives in Dublin.

I am a nurse. I work in a hospital. I take care of the patients. I give them medicines and injections. I assist the doctor.

I am a painter. I paint portraits and landscape. I work in a studio . .Sometimes, I will go outside to paint landscape. I exhibit them in an art gallery. I sell these paintings to art lovers.

I am a photographer. I go around and take pictures. People may hire me to take pictures on occasions like marriage, religious procession etc.

I am a fisherman. I catch fish for a living. I set off in a boat to the sea. I sell the fish to the people on the shore.

I am a carpenter. I

make furniture.

Thus I assist people to enjoy a

comfortable life. I use many tools like chisel,

hammer etc.
