2. Experimental Program

2.1. Specimen Preparation
ighteen reinforced concrete c+linder/ were $re$ared, each with a dia;eter of 2 ;; and height of

Corro/ion wa/ introduced to the /teel i;edded in the concrete /$eci;en/ u/ing an accelerated
corro/ion ;ethod /o that, when $olarization wa/ a$$lied, the /teel had alread+ /uffered fro;
corro/ion to /i;ulate real-life condition/8
%he ;ea/ured )oltage etween the ried /teel anode and the /tainle// /teel cathode i/ $re/ented in
Figure &8 %he )oltage of grou$ C&< /how/ no /ignificant change during the corro/ion acceleration
$roce//, with the )oltage di/triuted o)er the range 0O3 8 !eanwhile, the )oltage of grou$/ C<
and C=3 decrea/ed with ti;e, fro; 3 to at the eginning down to <O0 at the end8 %he )oltage
