Pavement Jointing Mortars www.nccstreetscape.co.uk The owners wanted a large new terrace for outdoor living and from where to admire their views over the surrounding area. PDG Groundworks provided this with their complete design and construction service. The owners selected ‘Pink Pearl’ Granite slabs for the paving and these were laid using 450mm wide by 30mm thick slabs, in 600 and 900 mm lengths following a traditional stretcher pattern. The pointing of the slabs had to be completed during the cold, wet month of February and so PDG used GftK’s vdw 850 Paving Joint Mortar from NCC Streetscape Limited. From years of good experience they knew that this allows the grouting to be done at low temperatures, in the wet - even in the pouring rain – using fast wet- slurry application. It self-compacts into the joints and then hardens rapidly to allow the areas to be put into service and use as soon as possible. The advanced vdw 850 Paving Joint Mortar is based on a special non-staining, epoxy resin bound system, which gives the advantage that work can continue whatever the weather, allowing projects to be completed on time – No waiting for the surfaces to dry, or for a dry weather forecast to even start the job.
