For Po the panda

The sound of chain saws and trees falling to the ground woke Po and his bestfriend Fo on the early morning of July 15th 2002.Slowly climbing down to the foot of his bamboo tree, he went to check out the situation…

Walking on all fours, Po could not believe his eyes…

His beautiful home and all of his friends' homes were destroyed.

Pandas were walking around homeless with no where to go and no food to eat.Babies were hungry and families were dying…….. and so is the species.

But little Po wanted to make a difference to this cruel world.

So Po grabbed his brief case and hopped on a "China Airline" plane and flew to Australia to change the world and its cruelty to his species.

Standing in front of millions of people, Po made his life changing speech….."The people of Australia and everyone around the world. I am here today from a mountain in central China", Po said through the microphone.

"We are endangered because of deforestation and human inpack to our environment". "Bamboo provides us with food and water to keep us and our families alive, but if they keep cutting down our trees, we will die", Po said tearing up.

"We need your help to save our species from extinction and also to stop deforestation", Po expressed.

Po's speech went global and touched the hearts of many people.

Maybe someday people will consider stopping deforestation and think of the pandas.
