The Five W’s

• Who? Gamers who enjoy racing games

• What? Going fast in a racing game

• When? After school, during free time

• Where? On any computer

• Why? Few racing games use realistic physics engines

Problem

• You are bored and want to go fast, but none of the racing games on the market are interesting enough or have cool enough maps.

The Question

• How can we make a fun physics based racing game that has interesting maps and is accessible to all?

Key Insights

• Most racing games do not use interesting physics based on a realistic engine

• They also lack complex tracks that change orientation

Elevator Pitch

WELCOME TO XTREEMPHISXRACER! Are you tired of the same old racers? Do you like going fast? Is consistent gravity bothering you? THEN THIS IS THE GAME FOR YOU. This new innovative racing game takes the best parts of racing simulators and traditional Kart racers and puts them together into a single game. XTREEM racer uses the Unity gaming engine to create a physics based game set in a pseudo reality of alternate gravity and mechanics. The maps are disorienting and incredibly entertaining while you traverse the tessellation infused terrain. This game will soon rival the popularity of other flash hits like flappy bird and 2048 with its highly competitive and addictive style. Currently the app is limited to the web but we hope to bring it to the Google Play Market and IOS Stores in the future.

User Personas

• Youth

– Children ages 8-13

• Like simple computer games

• Parents want to avoid violence

– Young Adults 14-18

• Our target audience,

• Interested in fast-paced, interesting games

– Slightly Older Adults 19-23

• May be less inclined to play a game which seems childish in appearance. Will still have essentially the same game tastes as the 14-17 age group.

• We are also targeting people interested in playing a fun game with their friends.

• Older people will probably not be interested in our game.

Competitors• We are competing with all other racing games.

Our edge will be the fact that our game will be free and much more simple. The point of PYSICS RACER is to create a small competitive community that races each other and climb the leader boards, like FLAPPY BIRD!

MVP

• The minimum viable product will include a basic map and a car than can drive around at least one complete lap. We will focus on getting the turning, braking, and acceleration to work for the first release of the game.

Flow and User Feedback

• As a game, our flow is fairly simple

• We have a loading screen that brings the user into the game

• This is followed by a server list where a user can start or join a server

• We made the game multiplayer in response to user feedback

Feasibility

• When the team began this project we had no idea how feasible it would be. But through a lot of work with the Unity game engine we have found that a MVP will be quite accomplishable.

– Our game does not rely heavily on data from other sources

Business Plan

• This game will be free on the app market and be financed solely through ads. By creating a competitive community a small amount of apps should be very lucrative.

• We already have a customer base of at least 5 people

Advanced Marketing Stratagems

• Create viral marketing campaign with cute kittens driving cars

• Make a website and post links to it on all social media sites

• Encourage to spread our app via word of mouth
