Photoshop Tools Poster

CAmera and picturesTo create my poster I had to initially take the pictures. I knew I wanted something slightly mysterious in order to fit in well with the genre of drama/thriller.

Camera used:Canon 1100D

Creating the title I created a file in Photoshop and used the text tool in order to create and Title. I used the BankGothic font because I felt this gave my poster a sleek look with its refined edges and rigid structure. I felt this also added to the crime thriller element of my film, enabling the audience to notice this.

TitleI made sure the writing went across the entire canvas as it would simplify things for me in the long run, if I followed the placing structure of the components of my poster.

Essential components of a posterI looked at several posters previously and analysed them as evident on my blog. From the majority of them I noticed that they all had several elements in common and therefore I tried to imitate these in order to stay in tune with the generic paradigms and components of a movie poster.

Essential components - Production logosI saw on several movie posters that, they all had the logos of their production companies, therefore I chose to imitate this in order to ensure the authenticity of my poster. I copied these images from google and then pasted them onto my poster. I positioned them using the grid in order to retain the organisation of the poster.
