I was parked in W-19 at Grogan/SR 25, operating a Python radar (PYT846000926) in the stationary mode, when I

observed a vehicle heading NB on SR 25 that I estimated was traveling near 60 mph. I obtained a target speed of 58

mph, and the audio readout supported the target speed. I stopped this vehicle and made contact with the driver,

Michele Hamill. She made no statement as to why she was speeding. An adult male passenger was seated up front,

with children in the rear. Calibration checks were completed.

I was dispatched to the area of Bicentennial Park for a dog that was running loose. I located the black and

brown dog near the parking lot located off of Mark Ln. I called for the dog to come to me but the hair on its

back stood on end and it ran back into the park and toward the shelter area. Sgt. Otte advised

communications to call ACO Studer to the scene to assist in capturing the dog due to a family using the

shelter. Before ADO Studer could arrive, a girl that was at the park recognized the dog and coaxed it over

A random check of OH - SPINALE showed the registration to be expired as of 8/13/2012 and the registered owner,

Dominic Spinale, to be under an active Non-Compliance suspension. I stopped the vehicle and identified the driver to

be Spinale. Spinale was unaware that he was under suspension and asked for further details. It appeared the

suspension had stemmed from a ticket Spinale had received on 4/29/2012. Spinale had recently moved and had not

changed his address on his drivers license so he had not received any notifications from the BMV requesting his proof

of insurance. Spinale showed me valid proof of insurance showing coverage from March of 2012 thru September 2012.

I informed Spinale that with proper documentation he should be able to clear up the confusion with the BMV and the

court. I did issue Spinale a citation for DUS - Non-Compliance (4510.16a), and advised him to bring

insurance documentation with him to court.

stated he knew his license was suspended. He was issued a citation for driving under a non-compliance/ FRA

suspended license. He was given a court date and time of 08/28/12 at 1700 hrs.


Steven Devries was stopped for driving under a suspended license. He was arrested for possession of

marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The passengers in the vehicle, Kreg Workman and Mark Mathias, were

I was parked on Garfield facing W at SR 25. I observed a white sedan traveling in the curb lane at what appeared to be

over the posted speed limit of 40 mph. I estimated the vehicle to be traveling at about 55 mph. I used laser unit

TS006433 to perform a speed check and found the vehicle to be traveling at 55 mph. I initiated a traffic stop and

advised the driver, Ms. Hudson, why I had stopped her. Ms. Hudson advised she thought that the speed limit was 45

mph. As I was writing the citation, it was learned that Ms. Hudson had a suspended OL and warrants out of Maumee

PD. Maumee PD was contacted and the warrants were verified. Ms. Hudson was cited for speed and DUS. Her

plates were taken on request of Ohio BMV. The vehicle was towed by VJ's and she was issued summons by Maumee

PD and transported to her residence by Maumee PD.I had good tracking, no interference, and a calibration check was

done at about 1521 hrs.
