1. PENGELUARAN

Pengeluaran getah asli pada Mei 2012

dicatatkan sebanyak 69,072 tan metrik,

meningkat sebanyak 12.6 peratus (7,746 tan

metrik) berbanding April 2012. Bagi tahun atas

tahun, pengeluaran mencatatkan penurunan

sebanyak 3.6 peratus. Sektor kebun kecil

merupakan penyumbang utama dalam

pengeluaran getah asli iaitu sebanyak 94.5

peratus manakala baki 5.5 peratus adalah dari

sektor estet. Kedah mencatatkan pengeluaran

getah asli yang tertinggi di estet (20.7%), diikuti

oleh Perak (19.8%) dan Negeri Sembilan

(18.3%) [Jadual 14].

1. PRODUCTION

Production of natural rubber (NR) in May 2012

was recorded at 69,072 tonnes, increased by

12.6 per cent (7,746 tonnes) when compared to

April 2012. Year-on-year, production recorded a

decrease of 3.6 per cent. The smallholding

sector is the major contributor in the production

of NR at 94.5 per cent while the remaining 5.5

per cent from the estate sector. Kedah recorded

the highest NR in estates (20.7%), followed by

Perak (19.8%) and Negeri Sembilan (18.3%)

[Table 14].

2. EKSPORT

Eksport getah asli negara pada Mei 2012

berkurangan sebanyak 4.4 peratus kepada

62,863 tan metrik berbanding April 2012.

Perbandingan dengan bulan yang sama pada

2011 menunjukkan eksport juga menurun

sebanyak 22.6 peratus (18,305 tan metrik).

Getah Mutu Malaysia (G.M.M.) menyumbang

sebanyak 95.9 peratus daripada keseluruhan

eksport di mana G.M.M. 20 adalah yang

tertinggi, 46.5 peratus.

Destinasi utama eksport getah asli adalah Rep.

Rakyat China dengan jumlah 24,801 tan metrik

(39.5%), diikuti oleh Rep. Persekutuan Jerman

(15.2%), Rep. Korea (3.7%), Finland (3.4%),

Brazil (3.1%), Rep. Iran (2.9%), Belanda

(2.8%), Amerika Syarikat (2.7%), dan Afrika

Selatan (2.4%). Jumlah eksport ke negara-

negara tersebut merangkumi 75.7 peratus

daripada keseluruhan eksport getah asli.

2. EXPORTS

Exports of Malaysian NR in May 2012 reduced

by 4.4 per cent to 62,863 tonnes when

compared with April 2012. Comparison with the

same month in 2011 shows that exports also

decreased by 22.6 per cent (18,305 tonnes).

Standard Malaysian Rubber (S.M.R.)

constituted 95.9 per cent of total exports where

S.M.R. 20 accounted the highest, 46.5 per cent.

The main destination of NR exports was the

People’s Rep. of China with 24,801 tonnes

(39.5%), followed by Federal Rep. of Germany

(15.2%), Rep. of Korea (3.7%), Finland (3.4%),

Brazil (3.1%), Republic o Iran (2.9%),

Netherland (2.8%), U.S.A. (2.7%) and South

Africa (2.4%). The total exports to these

countries accounted for 75.7 per cent of the

overall NR exports.

3. IMPORT

Pada Mei 2012, import getah asli dilaporkansebanyak 62,388 tan metrik, meningkat

sebanyak 1.9 peratus berbanding April 2012.

Bagi tahun atas tahun, import juga bertambahsebanyak 36.2 peratus. Lateks pekat

merupakan jenis getah utama yang diimportmencatatkan sebanyak 42.3 peratus daripada

keseluruhan import pada bulan rujukan.

Getah asli diimport terutamanya dari Thailand

sebanyak 61.9 peratus, Vietnam 13.8 peratusdan Filipina 7.4 peratus. Jumlah import dari

ketiga-ketiga negara tersebut merangkumi 83.1

peratus daripada keseluruhan import getah asli.

3. IMPORTS

In May 2012, imports of NR was 62,388 tonnes,

an increase of 1.9 per cent when compared to

April 2012. Year on year, imports also rose by36.2 per cent. Latex concentrate which is the

main type of rubber imported was recorded at42.3 per cent of total imports during reference

month.

NR was imported mainly from Thailand 61.9 per

cent, Vietnam 13.8 per cent and Philippines 7.4per cent. Total imports from these three

countries accounted for 83.1 per cent of the

overall NR imports.

4. PENGGUNAAN DOMESTIK

Penggunaan domestik getah asli pada Mei

2012 adalah sebanyak 36,508 tan metrik,

menokok sebanyak 1.4 peratus berbanding

April 2012. Perbandingan dengan bulan yang

sama pada 2011 juga menunjukkan

peningkatan dalam penggunaan domestik

sebanyak 11.8 peratus.

Industri utama yang menggunakan getah asli

adalah sarung tangan getah iaitu 67.7 peratus,

benang getah 7.7 peratus dan tayar & tiub 7.5

peratus . Jumlah penggunaan bagi ketiga-tiga

industri tersebut menyumbang 82.9 peratus

daripada keseluruhan penggunaan domestik

getah asli.

4. DOMESTIC CONSUMPTION

Domestic consumption of NR in May 2012 was

36,508 tonnes, an increase of 1.4 per cent when

compared to April 2012. Comparison with the

same month in 2011 also showed an increase

in domestic consumption by 11.8 per cent.

The major NR consuming industries were

rubber gloves 67.7 per cent, rubber thread 7.7

per cent and tyre & tubes 7.5 per cent. The total

consumption of these three industries

constituted 82.9 per cent of the overall domestic

consumption of NR.

5. STOK

Pada akhir Mei 2012, stok getah asli yang

dicatatkan menunjukkan penurunan sebanyak

7,614 tan metrik (-6.5%) kepada 110,005 tan

metrik berbanding dengan paras stok pada April

2012. Stok juga menunjukkan pengurangan

sebanyak 6.1% berbanding bulan yang sama

tahun lepas.

5. STOCKS

At the end of May 2012, the stock of NR

recorded a decrease of 7,614 tonnes (-6.5%) to

110,005 tonnes compared to the level of stocks

held in April 2012. Stocks also showed a

reduction of 6.1% compared to that of the same

month last year.

6. HARGA PURATA BULANANSEKILOGRAM (Sebut Harga Pada WaktuTengah Hari - “F.O.B.”)

Pada Mei 2012, harga purata bulanan lateks

pekat adalah 719.05 sen, turun sebanyak 4.4

peratus berbanding dengan bulan April 2012.

Harga purata lateks pada Mei 2012 adalah 23.8

peratus lebih rendah berbanding Mei 2011.

Harga G.M.M. 20 pada Mei 2012 adalah

1,030.50 sen, susut sebanyak 6.4 peratus

berbanding dengan harga pada April 2012.

Manakala bagi bulan yang sama pada tahun

lepas, harga G.M.M. 20 juga jatuh sebanyak

22.8 peratus.

6. AVERAGE MONTHLY PRICE PERKILOGRAM (Noon Quotations - F.O.B.)

In May 2012, the average monthly price of latex

concentrate was 719.05 cent, dropped 4.4 per

cent compared to April 2012. The average price

of latex in May 2012 was 23.8 per cent lower

when compared to May 2011.

The price of G.M.M. 20 in May 2012 was

1,030.50 cents, reduced by 6.4 per cent

compared to April 2012. Whilst for the same

month last year, the price of G.M.M 20 also fell

by 22.8 per cent.

7. GUNA TENAGA

Jumlah pekerja yang diambil bekerja di estet

getah pada Mei 2012 adalah 12,571 orang,

dengan pekerja bergaji seramai 12,567 orang

dan jumlah gaji & upah dibayar sebanyak

RM13.1 juta. Bagi bulan atas bulan, jumlah

pekerja yang diambil bekerja bertambah

seramai 98 orang, manakala bagi tahun atas

tahun ianya meningkat seramai 1,627 orang

Pecahan gaji & upah dibayar mengikut katogeri

pekerja bergaji adalah seperti di Carta 11.

7. EMPLOYMENT

The total number of workers engaged in the

rubber estates in May 2012 was 12,571

persons, with the number of paid employees

totalling 12,567 persons and total salaries &

wages paid amounting to RM13.1 million.

Month-on-month, the total number of workers

engaged increased by 98 persons, whilst year-

on-year, it went up by 1,627 persons.The

breakdown of salaries & wages by categories of

paid employees is as in Chart 11.

8. PRODUKTIVITI

Pada Mei 2012, nisbah jumlah pengeluaran

dengan keluasan ditoreh dilaporkan sebanyak

88.4 kilogram sehektar (kg/hek). Berbanding

dengan April 2012, produktiviti menunjukkan

peningkatan sebanyak 28.3 peratus, manakala

bagi tahun atas tahun, produktiviti merekodkan

peningkatan sebanyak 7.7 peratus.

8. PRODUCTIVITY

In May 2012, the ratio of total production to total

area tapped was 88.4 kilogram per hectare

(kg/ha). Compared to April 2012, productivity

showed an increase of 28.3 per cent, while

year-on-year, productivity recorded an increase

of 7.7 per cent.

rubber for April 2012 while Chart 13 shows the

monthly time series.

Nota

1. Pengenalan

1.1 Mulai Januari 2004, laporan Perangkaan Getah Bulanan Malaysia diterbitberdasarkan format baru termasuk juga liputan yang terkini. Pendekatanbaru yang diguna pakai adalah berdasarkan data yang diperolehdaripada Banci Estet Getah (RE), Pemproses Getah (RP) dan PenggunaGetah (RC).

1.2 Maklumat tambahan di dalam penerbitan ini termasuk stok getahmengikut pemilikan, harga mengikut kategori getah dan produktiviti estetgetah di Malaysia.

2. Kajian Data Pengeluaran Getah, 2000-2003

2.1 Pada pertengahan tahun 2003, Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia (JPM)bersama-sama dengan Lembaga Getah Malaysia (LGM) telahmengadakan perbincangan untuk menambahbaik kaedah pengumpulandata bagi pengeluaran getah asli.

2.2 Kajian telah dijalankan dengan menggunakan data daripada borang soalselidik RD 1A (Banci Peniaga Getah) dengan memberi tumpuan kepada89 buah kilang memproses getah. Borang soal selidik telah dihantarkepada 89 buah kilang memproses tersebut untuk mendapatkanmaklumat berkenaan dengan pembelian getah mentah tempatan yangsebenar.

2.3 Memandangkan hasil yang diperoleh adalah amat positif, mulai tahun2004, borang soal selidik baru iaitu Banci Pemproses Getah (RP) telahdiperkenalkan bagi menggantikan Banci Peniaga Getah (RD 1A). Liputanrangka banci telah berkurang daripada sejumlah 1,961 peniaga getahkepada hanya 91 pemproses getah sahaja. Borang Banci Estet GetahBulanan (RM) dan Banci Pengguna Getah (RC) juga turut diubahsuaimengikut perkembangan industri getah masa kini.

3. Penyediaan Data Dalam Perangkaan Getah Bulanan

3.1 Data Pengeluaran

Mulai Januari 2004, data pengeluaran getah diperoleh daripada borangBanci Pemproses Getah (RP). Penjanaan data pengeluaran tersebutdibuat dengan andaian bahawa semua getah mentah akan sampai kekilang proses untuk menghasilkan barangan separa siap.

3.2 Data Pengeluaran Mengikut Negeri

Dengan pengambilan data pengeluaran getah asli Malaysia dari kilang-kilang memproses getah, data-data pengeluaran mengikut negeri tidakdapat ditunjukkan. Ini disebabkan kilang-kilang yang di dalam liputanbanci, menerima/membeli getah mentah daripada negeri-negeri lain diluar tempat lokasi kilang tersebut berada. Dengan yang demikian, datayang diperoleh tidak dapat menggambarkan data pengeluaran baginegeri tersebut.

3.3 Penggunaan Domestik

Penggunaan domestik getah asli bagi tempoh 2000-2003 yangdipaparkan dalam penerbitan ini diambil daripada Penyiasatan PenggunaGetah yang dijalankan oleh LGM. Namun, mulai Januari 2004, datapenggunaan domestik tersebut diperoleh daripada soal selidik RC yangdilaksanakan oleh JPM.

3.4 Stok Akhir

Stok Akhir getah diambil daripada Estet Getah (RE) bagi stok getah yangterdapat di estet, Pemproses Getah (RP) bagi stok getah yang belum dansudah diproses dan Pengguna Getah (RC) bagi stok getah yang belumdigunakan untuk menghasilkan barangan siap.

3.5 Harga Getah

Mulai bulan Januari 2004, harga bagi GAB 1 tidak lagi di kumpul olehLGM. Namun penerbitan ini mempamerkan harga bagi setiap kategorigetah iaitu daripada getah mentah hingga ke getah separa siap.

3.6 Produktiviti Hasil Ditoreh

Mulai Januari 2004, data bagi produktiviti hasil ditoreh bagi estet getah diMalaysia telah dimasukkan dalam laporan ini. Maklumat tersebut dapatmemberikan gambaran produktiviti hasil ditoreh bagi bulan rujukan disamping produktiviti pekerja-pekerja estet di Malaysia. Produktiviti hasilditoreh dikira dengan membahagikan jumlah pengeluaran dengankeluasan ditoreh pada bulan rujukan.

NOTES

1. Introduction

1.1 Beginning January 2004, the report, Monthly Rubber Statistics Malaysia,is released based on a new format as well as an updated coverage. Thenew approach adopted was based on data obtained from the Census ofRubber Estates (RE), Rubber Processors (RP) and Rubber Consumers(RC).

1.2 Additional information in this publication includes stocks of rubber byownership, price by category of rubber and productivity of rubber estatesin Malaysia.

2. Study on Rubber Production Data, 2000 - 2003

2.1 In mid 2003, the Department of Statistics (DOS), Malaysia together withthe Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) held discussions to improve on themethods to collect data on production of natural rubber.

2.2 A study was conducted using data from the RD 1A (Census of RubberDealers) questionnaire with special attention focused on 89 rubberprocessing factories. A questionnaire was sent out to the 89 processingfactories to obtain information relating to the actual purchase of local rawrubber.

2.3 As the outcome of the study was very positive, beginning 2004, a newquestionnaire, namely Census of Rubber Processors (RP) wasintroduced to replace the Census of Rubber Dealers (RD 1A). Thecoverage of the census was reduced from a total of 1,961 rubber dealersto only 91 rubber processors. The questionnaires on the Monthly Censusof Rubber Estates (RM) and the Monthly Census of Rubber Consumers(RC) were also amended in accordance with the latest development inthe rubber industry.

3. Data Compilation for Monthly Rubber Statistics

3.1 Data on Production

Beginning January 2004, data on rubber production was derived from theRP questionnaire. It was made on the assumption that all raw rubberproduced locally will eventually reach the processing factories to beproduced into semi-finished goods.

3.2 Production Data by State

By compiling data on production of Malaysian natural rubber from therubber processing factories, data on production by state could not beshown. This is because the factories under the census coverage alsoreceived/bought raw rubber from other states outside the location of thefactories. As such the data compiled did not reflect production data of aparticular state.

3.3 Domestic Consumption

Domestic consumption of rubber for the period 2000-2003 presented inthis publication was obtained from the Rubber Consumers Surveyconducted by MRB. However, beginning January 2004, the data ondomestic consumption is derived from the RC questionnaire conducted byDOS.

3.4 Stocks of Rubber

Stocks of rubber was derived from Rubber Estates (RE) for stocks ofrubber in estates, Rubber Processors (RP) for stocks of rubber beforeand after process and Rubber Consumers (RC) for stocks of rubber notyet used to produce finished products.

3.5 Rubber Price

Beginning January 2004, the price for RSS 1 was not collected by theMRB. Nevertheless, the publication presents price for each category ofrubber, i.e. from raw rubber to semi-finished rubber.

3.6 Productivity on Yield Tapped

Beginning January 2004, data for productivity on yield tapped for rubberestates is included in this report. This information reflects the productivityof yield tapped for the reference month, together with the estate workers’productivity in Malaysia. The productivity on yield tapped is derived bydividing the total production by the total area tapped during the referencemonth.
