Exciting news is that building has started on the new wing in the tuckshop quad area. When
completed, it will add 5 new teaching venues: a Science Lab, an IT Lab on the first level &
3 Classrooms on the second level.
14 Cricket Teams will be playing in our 2015 Pam Golding Pearson High School Cricket Festival as
from Thursday, 10 September to Saturday, 12 September. The teams competing are: Pearson,
Pearson’s Invitational Team, Victoria Park, Westering, St Dominic’s Priory, Alexander Road,
Framesby, Marlow, Union High, Grey, Woodridge, Hudson Park, Daniël Pienaar & Hangklip.
Matches will be played at the following ovals: Pearson, Framesby, Victoria Park, Daniël Pienaar,
Westering, Alexander Road, St Dominic’s and Old Grey.

WP, Boland en SWD sal speel. Kaylin also represented the E.P. u/16 tennis team against
Border as their No. 1 player. Lienke Botha also represented the E.P. u/16 tennis team
against Border as their No. 2 player. Kerry Pattinson was selected as a reserve for the E.P.
u/18 team against Border.

round in the High School Gr. 4-6 Category: Kelly le Roux - Singing ; and Crystal Leonard -
Clarinet. At the final, Kelly le Roux received a Certificate and Medal for attaining a first place
in her category.

* our 4 teams from the grade 11 and 12 IT
classes who took part in the Annual Programming
Olympiad at NMMU on 4 August. The teams per-
formed really well and were all very competitive till
the end. One of our grade 11 teams, PJZ, with
members, Tristan Jacobs, Taryn Perry and Scy
Zwennis came third overall and got the prize for the
top grade 11 team. We hope to see them take part
next year again.
* Dominic Doyle who finished second in both his heats in a National Motor Cycle Race at
Red Star Raceway. He is currently lying second in the National Super Junior KTM 390
Cup and will participate in the final round of the series in Durban next month.

Vaughan, Ashleigh Vaughan, Miricke du Plessis, Cayli van Thiel, Erin Mukheibir,

was selected for the u/18 E.P. 7’s Team.

CRICKET VS UNION HIGH SCHOOL The Pearson 1st Cricket team got off to a great start
against Union and will host their annual Pam Golding
Pearson High School Cricket Festival. The match against
Union High School was a declaration format match. Pear-
son star player Kyle Jacobs, together with Luntu Tofile
batted superbly, putting on 147 for the 3rd wicket. Tofile
played well and scored 70 off 105 balls.
Jacobs went on to yet another 100 for his team and scored
121 off 142 balls. His innings included 14 boundaries and
2 sixes. Jacobs was earlier joined by Daniel Doyle who
accelerated the run rate, scoring 68 not out off 74 balls as
we massed 303/5, before declaring.
The Pearson pace bowlers backed up their batters' perfor-
mance and only needed 22 overs to dismiss the Union
team for only 73 runs. Chris Dekker bowled well, picking
up 3/25 while Wade van Zyl took 3/19. Henru van Zyl finished the game for Pearson picking
up 2/10 and Pearson won convincingly by 230 runs.

Both are formal occasions, so we ask you please to dress accordingly (tie and
