Naming & Describing: The Verbs llamarse & llevar
• Llevar = to wear
Carmen lleva un suéter azul.

Spanish verbs change their endings according to the subject of the sentence. Llevarse (to wear)
• (yo) llevo I wear
• (tú) llevas you wear
• (usted, él, ella) lleva you, he/she wears
• (nosotros/as) llevamos we wear
• (ustedes, ellos/as) llevan you (pl), they wear

Subject pronouns (yo, usted, nosotros, ellas, etc.)
are in parenthesis because it is not always necessary to use them. The verb itself or the context usually tells
you who the subject is.
