The Nacogdoches Parks & Recreation Department is happy to have part-nered with the Mission Tejas State Park to offer a series of Outdoor activi-ties. These programs are free, however registration is required since some classes are limited based on supplies, equipment and for safety purposes.

Ages: 15 years & up
Date: Session 1: September 9th-October 12th | Session 2: November 4th-December 16th
Time: Monday:Beginners – 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm | Beginner Plus – 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Fee: $45/session
High steppin’ and toe tappin’ enthusiastic adults wanted! Students will learn basic clogging steps and routines. Clogging shoes or Keds with clogging taps required. This is a great way to exercise, while having blast!

Time: Monday & Wednesday Children: 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm Adult: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Fee: $30.00/month
This noncompetitive martial art combines Judo and Aikido, joint locks, throws, ground fighting, punching and kicking. New
students are welcome at any class.

Table Tennis Club meets weekly for fun, exercise and improvement of skills. Some coaching is available.

Ballroom & Country Dancing
Lake Nacogdoches is a 2210 acre reservoir located 10 miles south-west of the City on FM 225. There are three pavilions, a swimming area, a fishing pier, and a boat ramp in the west side park. There are also tables, a swimming area, and another boat ramp on the east side of the lake.
The Lanana Creek Trail system is over 6 miles of both paved and unpaved walking and/or biking paths. The trail is equipped with water fountains and emergency phones, and patrons are encour-aged to enjoy the wooded scenery safely during the daytime.
Park pavilions are available to reserve for get-togethers. There are 15 different covered pavilions throughout the City and around Lake Nacogdoches.

Liberty Hall (El Camino Real Park) is available for parties, reunions, or corpo-rate functions. The facility has a small kitchenette and large meeting area with a
maximum capacity of 75 people. Some tables and chairs are provided.

Package includes room rental for an hour and a half, decorations, invitations, “thank you” notes, party games, and activities for eight (8) children. Choose from over 30 themes! Parents must pick up and mail invitations and “thank you” notes as well as supply cake, punch, or any other desired food items. There is an additional fee of $5.00 for any added children. Parties must be paid in advance, and cancella-tions must be requested three (3) weeks in advance. Goody bags are available for $3.00 each.

Packages include room rental for an hour and a half, decorations, invitations, and optional shower/party activities, for 20 guests. The host/hostess must pick up and mail invitations as well as supply cake, punch, or any other desired food items. There is an additional fee of $5.00 for extra guests. Favors and “thank you” cards are available for an additional fee.
The Gymnastics area can be rented for supervised birthday parties. The fees are as follows:
Up to 12 children - $75.00 for two hours
13-24 children - $125.00 for two hours
Parties are reserved in 2 hour blocks of time on Saturdays only and includes set-up and clean-up. Available times are as follows: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm | 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm | 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

A story time where babies are free to express themselves! Babies will enjoy stories, finger plays and songs.

Meet real-life firefighters and learn about fire safety. There will also be a drawing for a free carbon monoxide detector. Program sponsored by Friends of Nacogdoches Library.
Learn ways your family can honor and support our military personnel and our country.
Children and teens can enter up to two recipes in our 8th annual cooking contest. Winners will be announced at 1:00 p.m. the day of the event. The deadline to enter is November 14th. Prizes will be awarded. Entry forms will be available at the library or on the website beginning October 15th.
Help plan library programs, make book or movie recommendations and volunteer for library programs. Meet new people, make new friends! Ask library staff for a Teen Board Application.
