Waggin’ Trail Off-Leash Dog Park located at 432 East 32nd Avenue opened on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. This new off-leash dog park is a partnership between the City of North Kansas City, Missouri, and the City of Kansas City, Missouri. The park is 4.70 acres, with designated areas for small dogs (less than 30 lbs.) and large dogs (more than 30 lbs.). An agility course, tunnels, drinking fountains and benches are some of the great amenities. The hours of operation are 6 a.m. to sunset or 9 p.m., whichever comes first. The Parks and Recreation Board is excited to offer this new park facility in North Kansas City.

On July 16, the Park and Recreation Board held an Open House on the design concept for Dagg Park Spray Ground. Two themes were presented: Nature and Ocean. The Ocean theme won the vote 34-15. The Parks and Recreation Board would like to thank those who came out to participate and cast their vote. With the theme selected, we are moving forward with the next step to bring you a spray ground in Spring 2015.
