Software Development Engineer in Test, Microsoft Corporation Jan 2011 – till date

Working as a SDET with Microsoft Dynamics Ax Client Team for development of UI Automation framework using C#. Other responsibilities include participation in code reviews, test feature development and exploring areas for automation.

Product Development Engineer II, Advanced Micro Device June 2008 – Jan 2011 Team Lead AMD Fusion and AMD Bulldozer Worked as a team lead and developer for AMD Manufacturing Technology team responsible for

development of post silicon validation and silicon fusing libraries in C++ utilizing STL, boost and design patterns. Other responsibility included gathering requirements from various product teams, scoping projects, providing high level support to product engineers at AMD overseas production facilities and mentoring junior developers and interns at AMD.

ACADEMIC RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Sketch Recognition Lab, Texas A&M University College Station Feb 2007- Dec 2008 Research Assistant Developed vision based gesture recognition system using MATLAB.

Conducted research on extraction of meaningful stroke data from scanned in drawings images that can be recognized on state of art sketch recognition systems.

Participate in different lab like grant proposal review, paper review, ethnographic studies etc.

Helped PI to write proposal which was selected for $30,000 startup grant by National Endowment for Humanities.

Worked on High Dynamic Range Imaging Applications in monitoring color information using digital images. Researched and implemented algorithms for shadow removal from digital images and color retrieval.

Developed algorithms for image segmentation, dynamic ranging and tone mapping.

One of the seven students selected from all over India for Bharat Petroleum Scholarship, 2007-2008 worth $8000.

Two times winner of State Talent search fellowship , awarded to top 20 students in the state on basis of written test and interview, by Department of Science and Technology, Jammu and Kashmir.
