Introduction
Anti – fungus paint
Chemical Resistantpaint
Comparison of Anti – fungus and Chemical Resistant paints
Two type of paint in the industries
ANTI – FUNGUS PAINT
In other words can be known as mold resistanceIt is apply on moisture place such as bathroom, basement and kitchenIt contain anti microbial ingredients
Introduction :
ANTI – FUNGUS PAINT
Suitable for interior paintingFungus resistance Low odour, when freshly paint
Type of Anti – fungus paints :
Water resistancecan be easily remove dirt and stainscan covering hairline cracks
Anti – Fungus paint
To prevent mold and fungal growth Contain biocides or mildewcides to
exterior coatings to prevent fungus growing
Antimicrobial Coatings
Type of Anti – fungus paints :
Prevent the growth of moldExcellent longevitySuperior moisture preventionProvides protection from water penetration
Mold Resistant Coatings
Chemical Resistant paint
A paint system that is applied to a surface for protection against attack by aggressive substances
A coating which retain its characteristics under various degrees of chemical exposure
Introduction :
Easier Clean-up Increase Durability Chemical ResistanceCorrosion ResistanceAbrasion ResistanceIncrease DurabilityLubricating Properties
Chemical Resistant paint
Capability :
Chemical Resistant paint
Air drying single coating Lower level of protection against chemical
attack Rely on solvent’s evaporation to leave a resin
film
Two component reactive systems Greater chemical resistant
Rely on cross-linking process of molecular strands to form their structure
Categories :
Chemical Resistant paint
Epoxy resins Commonly used for floor coatings and screeds Resistance against aqueous acids and alkalis, fats, oils, general
fuels, lubricants, salt and sugar solution Susceptible at higher temperatures Example: Resucoat HB, Sikagard 63N, Nitocote EP410, and etc.
Polyurethane resins Commonly used for durable floor coatings and screeds Resistance against organic acids and alkalis, fuel and hydraulic
oils, and aromatic and aliphatic solvents Greater resistance than epoxy resins at elevated temperatures Example: Resutile, Resudeck, Resupen, and etc.
Types of Chemical Resistant Paint :
Methacrylates Used as durable coatings offering good
resistance to aqueous solution but can be poor against solvents of all types.
Vinyl Esters Used mainly for bund and tank lining offering
excellent chemical resistance for almost all chemicals
However, they require specialist expertise in application

Comparison between Anti – fungus and Chemical resistant paint
Anti Fungus paint Chemical Resistant paint
Used in areas like attics, basements, crawl spaces, and bathrooms
Used in areas like decorative floors
Paint system to remove mold and repairing mold-related damage on the walls
Paint system that is applied to a surface to protect from attack by an aggressive substance
Paints contain antimicrobial ingredients that help prevent the growth of mold on painted surfaces
Paints contain acidic chemical agent that help to reduce the agrressive substance
Examples are Rust-Oleum 2774 Zinsser Interior EggShell, Perma White and Supreme Chemicals MC-2 Mildewcide Paint Additive 10 Gram
Examples are Sika® Fastflor® CRSolvent-Free, Chemical-Resistant, Fast-Cure, Epoxy Floor Coating and Sikafloor® 381Highly Resistant, Epoxy Novolac Binder

Mostly used area
Anti – fungus paint• To prevent wall gets mold
Chemical resistant paint• To resists chemical intrusion
