Today is a follow up session from content covered in previous weeks. The children will start with a gluing and sticking glitter activity. The children will soon realise that whatever they touch with their glittery hands will have glitter on it – this is how germs are being spread! Explain to your child that we will pretend that glitter represents germs and when they

different resources. All you need to do is stick masking tape to the floor making different shapes. Ask your child to identify all of the shapes and together discuss their features. Finally, ask your child to place different objects on the shapes’ lines. As an extension, you could ask your child to create exactly the same shapes without using lines as a help. Physical Development PE with Coach Marc I wonder what you will be doing today during your PE session?

Mindful freeze dance! The children are going to be engaged in a freeze dance! Let the children know that they have the option of walking or moving in a variety of ways they choose. Start the music and get them moving! Stop the music and freeze. Ask them to reflect on their experience. No one is eliminated, as the intention is to bring an awareness of movement and space.

children’s scissors skills. What you need:

- A4 paper - Scissors - Glue or sticky

tape - Wobbly eyes (you

could use white stickers instead)

- Hole punch To access the template, click here. What you need to do:

1. Print out the template

2. Using a pair of scissors cut along all of the dotted lines. If you printed the blank template, then draw on a mouth.

Today we will work on sorting by colour using the colour wheel. Parents’ supervision will be required with this activity at all times! What you need: -colour wheel template - scissors - drawing pin - bottle lid/wine cork Cut out the colour wheel template and stick the resources together to the bottle lid with a drawing pin. Optionally use a pencil instead of the arrow. If you use drawing pin, remember to supervise your child and remove it immediately after the activity. Ask your child to spin the arrow (or pencil). When the arrow stops,

finish it will be time to wash our hands! Glitter is naturally sticky and it will take at least 30 seconds to clean it off and lots of soap will be needed! The children will quickly learn that this is exactly how we are supposed to wash our hands to make sure that all of the germs are gone!

Personal, Social and Emotional Development We’re going on a Bear hunt! The children will listen to “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” story. We're going on a Bear Hunt story Throughout the story allow the children to anticipate key phrases

Sample prompts: - Prompt your

child to freeze or move their body in a way that reflects how the song feels to them.

- Prompt your child to freeze like the shape of a letter, an animal, or a superhero

- Ask your child to dance in certain ways—like a ballerina, a famous artist, or an animal.

Overall, encourage the children to share what they liked about the activity and what they found difficult.

3. Punch two holes in your octopus so that it can be hung when complete.

4. Glue or tape the tab into place

5. Help your child to curl the legs

6. Stick eyes on your octopus. You can use wobbly eyes or white stickers.

and events. Using your inside or outside space you have access to, prepare a bear hunt by hiding familiar toys (teddy bears if possible) around the space. You can then take your child on a hunt around the house to find them. Try to make this as imaginative as possible, moving around in different ways and facing different obstacles along the way. You can use the 'We’re Going on a Bear Hunt' story for some ideas. Extension: Oh no, the bear has escaped! We need to make a den to hide away and keep us safe! Using materials from around your house, together build a den to keep them safe from the bear. E.g. use blankets, table clothes, etc.
